I was burning music onto a cd. I completed that and started to burn another one. Now when I press start burn it says no cd burner found. I have never had a problem burning a cd before and it seems now that the computer is not recognizing my cd burner. Any suggestions?

If your Computer has a removable drive, power it down (Off) and remove the drive, also check all the connecters. If it is internal you will need to open the case and unplug carefully and replug the Drive and repower the Computer and check the system for the Burner.

You will have to download the music files (MP3's) onto your local computer's hard drive first. Then using your preferred burning software, insert a CD-R or CD+R depending on your CD drive (burner). It may be dual format and burn both, but you need to use the proper CDs to burn otherwise you will get errors and they won't burn, and then follow the instructions pursuant to your burning software. I hope this helps and good luck!
you have to setup nero, insert a blank cd/dvd onto the writer. need to start startsmart, you should select the proper potion uou want to use like, music, video or just as data to write all at a same cd.
Now another window should come. then use "add" to add those files you want to burn. press next and burn.
This prosess should work. let me know if anything seems not working.
No you do not need RW. With the CD-R you can only burn to it once. With RW you can burn to it multiple times plus erase it.
Most cd burners work with CD+R and CD-R but it is best to be sure.
Be sure to try more than one of your CD-R discs. I've brought out a new cd burner on a warranty repair in the past and found that the customers cd burner was fine and when a different CD-R was tried they were able to burn onto a cd without a problem.
Ok try this DO NOT insert the media until you have completed ya assembly... then tell it to "Burn" it will then ask for the media.. at this point insert ya CD... it should be "Detected" and ya Burn should proceed.I have had this work for me before.
Also try Alcohol 120% thats a great Burner. As well as CopytoDVD...
