Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Why cant i add files or remove from my transcend mp3 player?? computer is hanging if i connect it. and.. it is not getting formatted. files present are not displayed in the player.

It has a virus, could be, try reformatting the mp3 in dos, or better yet windows 98, simply the file system of you mp3 player is corrupted. after reformatting it in DOS mode, you can now reformat it in windows and then load songs.

Reformatted error

Do your files open when you hook it up to the USB in your computer? If so copy and save them there then try reformatting the player's drive.
If you can't copy the files to your computer, go to http://tinyurl.com/y5p85or, (click on "proceed to site") and pick a file recovery app. Use that to recover your music files to your computer, then try reformatting your mp3 player. If it reformats and works OK you're lucky --if not at least you will have copied your music.

How do i reformat my ipod

Hello :

Before you start reformatting your iPod , you need first to back up everything on it somewhere else .
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now to reformatting the iPod :

1:Start by syncing your iPod with your computer. When you do this, the iPod management screen will appear. Midway down that screen there's a button that reads "Restore."

2: Click the restore button. This begins the process of restoring the iPod to its factory settings.

3: After you click the restore button, iTunes will ask you to confirm that you really want to do this. If your iPod content is backed up, go ahead.

4: The iPod restore process includes iTunes downloading and installing iPod software and bug fixes. You will see a window that looks like the picture bellow. Follow the onscreen instructions.
On a Mac, you will be asked to enter your computer’s password. On Windows, the installation will just proceed.

5: As iTunes restores the iPod, you will see a progress bar.

6:After the restoration process has completed, iTunes will pop up a window letting you know that it’s done.

Now you’ve got an empty, freshly formatted iPod.

I hope that will help .

Says i have only 100 mb left, but i have no songs or pictures on there. even when i open the files on the computer there is nothing in any of the folders...its like invisible space is being...

Hi jadeshadow,
You might try reformatting your mp3 player. As far as it seems, there is some problem with your flash storage that the computer is reading as full. Also, you can take it to a local service center and see what they have to say about it.

Harley Davidson Road Tech HA90 SD card problem

reformatting the 1gb or the 2gb disk is a snap, but that won't fix your problem, here's how to reformat then I'll discuss the way to make a 1 or 2 GB work, first with the disk and also the reader that came with the Harley MP3 player just plug it into the usb port on your computer, then click start on the computer, then my computer, now you will see Icons for the A,D,E and F drive, the F drive being your storage device ( sound disk ) right click on this and when the drop down window appears you will see either fat or fat32, most likely it's already set to fat32, if not then change it to fat32, now just click on format, a drop down will tell you that all info on the disk will be lost, click O.K. and it will reformat the card. Now to get your Harley HA90 Road Tech MP3 player to read the card, the player will not read a card that has the soundtracks in a folder so you have to open the folder, I have explained the how to in another post on this site, so to save space try to find it, if you cannot then make a post to let me know

Bad track error. songs arent deleting after reformatting and resetting multiple amounts of times.

There are 2 ways to format an mp3 player - if you were formatting the mp3 player from "My Computer," then try reformatting from Windows Media Player instead - I have a "tips and tricks" entry on How to Format an Mp3 Player for details

If that doesn't work, then double-click on My Computer, double-click on the Sansa player, and go to the various folders that it lists - music, voice, etc. Delete the songs ONLY - do not delete the dat, bat, ini, inf, or other system files

My mp3 needs to be reformated and I need to know how to reformat it. Please contact me at jennifermariegordon@gmail.com. Thank you for your help.

To reformat it (assuming you have or have access to a Windows computer) all you must do is plug in the mp3 player to the computer. Go to "My Computer". Right click on your mp3 player and select "Format" or "Reformat". If it asks you what type of partition you should use, choose "FAT32". Most mp3 players use this. If you know for a fact that your mp3 player used a different partition type, choose it. Otherwise, choose FAT32. The computer will do the rest. After reformatting, you may have to download the firmware again. If you can't play songs after reformatting, this is probably why. To get the firmware, try going to the website of the company that manufactures your mp3 player.
