Question about Digital Cameras

2 Answers

I have a kodak v570. I powers up showing the easyshare logo and then shuts right back down as if the battery were dead. I have placed the camera in the charging cradle without the battery and it still does the same thing. The lense cover does not open.

I placed the camera on the cradle without the battery in the camera. It should therefore have been powered directly by the cradle.

I have already used the guided troubleshooting guide. That is where I was told to place the camera without battery on the cradle. Since it made no difference the conclusion by the guide was that camera could not be repaired by me but would require the expertese of a Kodak repair center.

Have added a new battery and charged it,same result. Have hooked directly to the a/c connector, same result. The problem is in the camera. Any suggestions.

I have already replaced the battery with a new recharged appropriate lithium battery and have tested the camera directly with the a/c adapter. The problem is in the camera. Any suggestions.

Will try the suggested site. Thanks

Hi,

Are you using powerfull batterys like lithium as any other battery will cause the problem your having.
If the battery you are using is rechargable then the chances are this will need replacing as they tend to fail after certain amount of use.
The use of normal batterys just isnt strong enough to power digital cameras so check your using high power batterys and if rechargable then buy a replacement battery as this sounds like the cause of your problem.

Goodluck,

How old is the battery? Even if you put it in the charging cradle, if the battery is EOL (end of life) the camera won't operate.

Como corregir un errror E45 en una kodak V570

The bad news is that this error means the lens alignment of your camera is messed up and it will take repair service to fix it. The cost of this might be equivalent to replacing the camera.

Kodak easyshare v570 e45 error...what is the solution ???

Hello

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

You can also have a look at THIS link.

Hope the advise is useful. please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance. Also, please be so kind to let me know if you found this helpful.

Regards
Andrea

The camera doesn't open and it doesn't charge. It is dead.

I wonder if you attached the right voltage of charger.
Thats what I did. I put on a 9v dc charger
Now my v570 is dead......but ironically it will still charge a battery.
Now an expensive battery charger!

Will not turn on?

Depending on when you bought the camera and how often you've used it, the battery may be dead. If you haven't had the camera very long, it's possible that the battery may be faulty. If you can find someone with the same camera, ask if you can try their working battery in your camera. If that doesn't work, it may be your camera.
