I have a HP Officejet L7380 and it arrived set to Japanese - I ended up just trying menus after pressing "Setup" button. It ended up being the 7th and last sub-menu, which I tried first. On my machine the "OK" button just below the printer display.

I would like to change the language on my HP 2575 All in One from Chinese to English. It is currently in Chinese which I dont read

The language and country/region setting determines which language the HP All-in-One uses to display messages on the color graphics display. Usually, you set the language and country/region when you first set up the HP All-in-One.

You can change the setting at any time by using the following procedure.
1. Press Setup.
2. Press until Preferences is highlighted, press OK, then press OK again. (This displays the Preferences menu, and then selects Set Language & Country/
Region. A list of languages appears. Press or to scroll through the list of languages)
3. When your language is highlighted, press OK.
4. When prompted, press OK for Yes or press until No is highlighted, then press OK.
(The countries/regions for the selected language appear. Press or to scroll through the list.)
5. When the country/region you want to select is highlighted, press OK.
6. When prompted, press OK for Yes, or press until No is highlighted, then press OK.

Control panel menu is not in english.

Here are 2 ways of changing that. I changed mine to Portugese once. Had a heck of a time figuring out what the menu said LOL. Both proceses will change it back. To change the language used for the text on the front panel:
  1. On the front panel, with Menus highlighted, press the OK key.
  2. Scroll to the Printer Setup Menu by pressing the Up Arrow or Down Arrow key.
  3. Press the OK key.
  4. Scroll to Set Front Panel Language by pressing the Up Arrow or Down Arrow key.
  5. Press the OK key.
  6. Scroll to the desired language by pressing the Up Arrow or Down Arrow key.
  7. Press the OK key to save the selected setting
This is how you change it via your computer.
  1. Open a web browser on your pc.
  2. Type the IP address of the printer into the address area and press return.
  3. Select the Properties tab when the page is done loading.
  4. Look in the left hand column for the + General folder.
  5. Click on the + one time to open the folder.
  6. Under the general folder you will see a subfolder named Printer Defaults.
  7. Click on the Printer Defaults folder one time and you will see a new column open on the right side of the page named Printer Defaults.
  8. In the first box, User Preferences, you will see a header for; Set front panel language with the default setting.
  9. Click on the down arrow and a list of different languages will open.
  10. Select the desired language.
  11. Scroll down the page and under the last box you will see two tabs named Save Changes and Discard Changes.
  12. Select Save Changes one time.
  13. Once you have pressed Save Changes you should get a box that opens up and states; Request Acknowledged; No errors were reported.
  14. Look at the front panel of the printer and the language should be changed to the language you selected above.
