I have spent a lot of money on compent cable and S cable. Instead of black and white high resolution picture, I now get navy blue and pink. If this cannot be fixed I will probably sell it. I have listened to all the Radio Shack experts and have spent nearly the cost of the entire unit on cables. Yellow is not hooked up..s and component and red/white to get sound..Please help.

I too am not getting any color in my home theater system. I have a Kawasaki HT1210 DVD Home Theater System. The color was working until today. I had to disconnect everything and reconnect and I wonder if I did something I shouldn't have. What is the progressive function listed? And where can I find it to see if it is activated? Thank you.

Well, assuming were talking about a dvd player with dvd's,you dont specify what type of cables you are using to conect it to your tv, it appears that it has something to do with Progressive Scan been turned on. Progressive Scan is a feature built in your dvd player, wich by using it, it would give you a better picture//resolution on your tv, you need to use Component or HDMI cables to hook up the dvd to your tv if you want this settings, but if you are using composite RCA cables (Red,White & Yellow) and the Progressive funtion is turned on by accident, it may give you a split screen, black & white, or no picture problems. Also if you are using Component (Blue, Green & Red) cables, if one of them is unplug, the picture can be out of colors, or no picture. Check this things, if not, write back with more details about your set up.

Thanks...

After the dvd plays for like 10-15 minutes(when dvd player warms up?) all the colors on the screen turn to black, yellow and purple for the rest of the movie. What's wrong?

I gotta know more clearly about your question, i am going to explain in 'Guide Solutions'
Guide 1: Is it the color just cover the main grid? (Color cover like blocking the others, such as watching 70s TV shows, the colors blocked in black and white.)
Source 1: Audio input problems, your dvd audio input linked with three different 'rops', they are appeared to be push by pressure.
Solution 1: Determine more spaces to them!
Guide 2: Is it the color cover the photon grid? (Color cover at all pictures, each of them doesn't stand the other colors instead of replaced by unique color)
Source 2: Undefined
Solution 2: The TV setting menu seems to b set by specific colors, change it on your own using remote. OR this is a specific part that the DVD need to show the color in unique color (only one)
(No problems, keep watching)!

My Bose LS 48 is producing in black and white, not color

If you are using a composite output and you do not set the system up in the menu for composite, it will give you a B&W picture. Check your output settings.

What kind of connection are you using? If you are using a component connection or a RGB connection this could be causing your problem check the leads and if so replace new leads.
