i have checked your phone online. your Samsung s3100 can only support audio files with these formats. .mp3, .wav and polyphonic ring tones only. So please, try downloading audio file with these file extension formats or you can download a software than can convert audio file that suits your cellphone. for example: the lazy song.mp3 or the lazy song.wav
i hope this helps.
make sure the battery is fully charged or brand new. If it still isnt turning on with the nextar mp3 players there is nothing you can really do and it would be cost effective to replace the unit over trying to get it repaired.
If you need further assistance please feel free to follow up with a comment and i will be here to assist you. If this assisted you please feel free to rate the comment. thanks and have a great day.

It seems that it is very difficult to find help from RCA. Most drivers and manuals are not available for MP3 players, and the ones that are, don't help very much and are often very generic. RCA, among other brands make disposable MP3 players that short of changing a battery or resetting it, there is nothing else that can be done. Warranty is the most important thing but when you have to send the defective unit off, they want money for shipping. I have heard of them returning your MP3 player as fixed and the minute you turn it on, it does not work. On here, we try to assist with many problems but MP3 players are often hard to diagnose as most are defective from the factory.
What happens when you power on the player?
If just the blue ring lights up and NO screen activity, and you've already tried the recovery mode (hold switch, hold REC, power on) then you need to send the unit back provided that it has been purchased within the year. Unfortunately the only software tool where you can hook up a unit and have the software force flash it to a repaired state is a sansa connect. The e2xx series does not have any assistance/repair software available for download. I know that this isn't a technical solve but technically you can't fix this as it's solid state technology. So please don't flame me for helping. I got a "no help" vote because they had a dead MLB on a PC. Thanks in advance.
