SOURCE: SA 660 SMEG dishwasher constantly filling....

this can be water draining from your sink into the dishwasher via the drain pipe, assuming the drain pipe goes to a spigot on the sink trap.
take the drain hose up as high as possible in a swan neck to prevent this.

I have smeg built in dishwasher. Acts like running cycle but i don't think it's getting enough water. the soap tables are not dissoved. before if opened door during cycle lots of water but now none

Check water inlet filter, check for blockage at the stop valve .

The rubber washer does come loose and blocks/limits the flow into the dishwasher. The fill cycle is on a timer and any restrictions in the water connection will under-fill the unit.
Hope this helps?

You have a timer relay issue ,probable need a new board for it ,a cheap fix would be to time it and see how long it take to run full cycle and put a regulaer outlet timer on it or a alarm off your stove or what ever, save a couple of bucks

Smeg integrated dishwasher continually washing - won't move to drying cycle.

you should check the heating element. if the water is not hot enough, the timer will not advance. crack open the door mid-cycle. let the water stop flying around. then open it all the way up. if you don't get a big ball of steam, you have an indication that your heating element may not be working properly. this is not too hard to check the resistance with a multimeter and then replace, if necessary. good luck

Kenmore Dishwasher 587.15163401 knob stuck mid-cycle

See if it is stuck on a water heat cycle. if the heater circuit or the thermostat is not working properly it will continue to run looking for a rise in temperature. If these are in working order the timer it self could be sticking and not advancing.
