Power off your camcorder and remove the battery. With the battery removed, move the power switch to ON. LEAVING THE POWER ON AND THE TAPE DOOR OPEN, replace the battery.

My cassette player will not play with batteries only a power cord

Although this should not be in the category Digital camera's I think I can help a little. The cassette player will be not that young, so it could be the contacts in the battery holder are corroded. Please clean the contacts, but try to avoid sharp tools. Better use some contact oil and run everything dry with a dry cloth, be cats once you removed the shiny surface the contacts will corrode much faster. Then you have to make sure you did put in the batteries in the correct way. And all the batteries must be in tip top order, that is fully charged or new. If only one bad cell in in the holder, the voltage will be to low and the recorder won't run. Success. Please next time ask in Audio or tape recorders.

I have an old Video Camera, Sanyo VM-RZ2R 8mm camcorder. I can't get the cassette holder to eject. There's no cassette in it at the moment but when I press the eject button, the camcorder turns a couple of...

Your eject problem will be one of three things. 1- the gears for the eject mechanism have shifted and not making contact with each other. You can fix this by realigning the gears. 2- The gears are stripped and need replaced. 3- there is a small plastic pin that releases the cassette bay. check to see if this pin is broken. If so, then you will need to replace the pin or the gear the pin is attached to. With this being an older model, parts will be extremely hard to find. Let's hope that the gears are just misaligned.

I accidentally dropped my samsung S1070 while I was taking a photo, and the lens is now stuck out. It won't turn on, and we've tried replacing the batteries and taking them out. I've also tried...

Hi,

Check whether your batteries are actually making contact with the battery posts, and that these posts are clean. If not, bend the posts up/down a little, and maybe clean them with a little rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip.The next thing to try is examine both the battery and flash card door. There's usually a little switch on both doors (note some SD card doors do not have this switch) that activates when the doors are closed. If they don't, the camera won't start to prevent damage to the flash card or camera startup sequence. For most cameras its usually a little piece of plastic on the door that pushes in on a pin switch when the door is closed. Closely examine both doors to try to identify these switches. A lot of times that little plastic nib wears down or breaks off, but can easily be jury rigged with a small glued-on replacement.
If you've tried all of the above and still no luck, the problem is then likely to be internal to the camera. One example would be that if your camera uses Compact Flash, check to make sure all pins are present and aligned in the card slot (if bent, simply unbend/straighten them with a skinny "jewelers" screwdriver, then insert the flash card for final realignment).

Thank you!

My canon mv750i camera is broken and wont switch on but i want to get the video cassette out. How do I get the cassette out without turning the camcorder on. Thanks

on the cassette holder there should be a little manual release hole where you can insert a paper clip and have it release the lock so you can pull the metal enclosure out like the automated system does when there is power to the motor.

My coolpix 1600 will no longer accept a memory card. The card does not stay down.

How long ago did you purchase the camera? If it physically won't stay down then I would try a different card. If you can isolate the problem being with the camera. Then somehow either damage to the slot was done or it is defective. Depending on what you choose repair or most likely replacement would be your best option. If you have any questions let me know.
Thank you,
Lee

I search the user guide manual french or english for my canon es3000 The problem with this camera is : i put one video cassette in the camera and i close the door the door close but the door open back...

From your question, it sounds like you are trying to view a video which has already been recorded on. If that is correct, the video cassette may need to be rewound to the beginning of the tape,

I have a canon ES 970 I was wondering, whether its possible to re use the cassette I have already recorded once on it and I have so many cassettes collected

You can record over previously used cassettes, but the recording quality may not be as good as with a fresh cassette. If you can find a bulk eraser, you can completely wipe out a previous recording and get near-new quality on your recording.
