If the SQL server is installed on a xp home editiond there is a 5 connection limmit.
An XP PRO will give you 10 concurrent connections.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Have lost my windows password how do I retrieve it

Attempt to Login to Windows XP as the Administrator. Since many people never set their administrator password, you may still be able to get in to that account and reset your password. By default, this will not be shown. To access this user do the following. At the login screen where all the users are shown, press Ctrl-Alt-Del TWICE. It will bring up the old style login like windows 98. At user type "Administrator", leave password field empty and press enter to try and log in.
If successful you have 3 choices to do this.
1: Right click on my computer and select "Manage". On the left side select "local users and groups" and then "Users". Your login name will appear in the right hand side. Right click on it and select "Set Password". Fill in the fields or leave them empty. Apply it and your done.
2: Go to "control panel" and Select "User Accounts". In the window select "change an account" and then select which user. From there you select "Remove password" And, if it works, you're done. I have encountered it before that it asks for the password before it will remove it.
3: Go to "Start", "Run". Type in "cmd" to bring up the command window. In the window type:
"net user *USERNAME* 1234"
"net user" Always in the beginning. After the word "user" is a space and the user name. (NB) This does not work with user names which is more than 1 word. Example 'user 1' would not work where 'User1' would work. After the user name has been typed in there is another space and then a new password where I typed 1234.
So... "net user *USERNAME* 1234"

Adodb connection

In VB6 you would use ADODB. This is for ADO and is used for accessing data (read, write, update, etc.) from different data sources. Your connection string will vary based on the data source you need to connect to. Here is an example for a SQL connection:

"Provider=SQLOLEDB;Data Source=your_server;Initial Catalog=your_database;User ID=sa;Password=your_password;"

For VB.NET you would be using the ADO.NET toosl and a connection string as well.

How can I set up number of users in sql2005

you cannot set this. any number of users can use sql at the same time.
what you can do is implement logic in your application to keep track of how many user are active. if you have a users table, add a field, is logged in, and set it to true when user log in and false when they log out. then you can count how many users are logged in and prevent additional user from logging in
