Picture went out on my tv. i called service dept. gave serial no. they gave me a repairmen its been 3 weeks i still do not have my tv all i get is excuses

Sound no picture


Like stated before--May be another bad blub, especially if you used a generic or Neolux one. A phillips bulb WILL work right. Mits sets do NOT like generic bulbs !!

Called the recall dept. for Sears. Have an appointment set up for two weeks.Gave them my serial number and model number. The said if the parts show up prior to the two week time frame...call them and we could re-schedule the appointment.

If you have no high voltage it could be hori output and Flyback Transfomer.squealing noise is a bad capacitor 470uf 16v

No phone, no TV


Finally after two weeks of pure frustration, I am able to use my phone, computer and TV.  AT&T has a severe communiication problem between Customer Service, repair dispatchers, scheduling and completing a job.  Phone calls are not returned as promised.  Scheduled repair persons do not show up and no contact  is made.  I gave numerous people my cell phone (AT&TGoPhone) number and used many of my minutes to get this problem resolved.

No picture, just went off while watching tv


The pink lines in the set happened when the first time it blew out. It is called a burn in on the inside surface of the picture tubes. Not the fault of the TV repair guy. This is the fault of Toshiba. This set has known to have this happen and you should contact toshiba and request that they replace all three tubes for you at no cost. You should also stop using these repair guys who cannot fix a simple vertical problem. Find out who is authorized for Toshiba in your area and call them. They will know, or should know the problems that happens with this model number and take care of them once and for all. Good Luck

its a common trick by workmen a simple dodgy capaciter blows out they replace it with another dodgy one ask them for the parts they replace so you can check whatthey do....

Problem with repair man


call toshiba and ask them if they can recommend another toshiba authorized servicer have them put your tv back together and tell them its an excessive time to wait it ten words or less they dont know what they are doing 90 percent of the toshs fixed should be completed in two hours or less
