Question about Syntax LT26HVE 26 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
Really having a terrible time locating a power supply for my 2 year old LT26HVX Olevia LCD. I had a local repairman tell me he needs the part to fix the LCD. He has had problems locating parts for Olevia flat screens. Any ideas?
Not getting much help from Olevia. Lesson learned.
Cheap parts were used in the construction of the olevia. I replaced 2 capacitors that were bad on the power board and the tv works fine now

That is because no one knows how to troubleshoot to the component level anymore in this "lowest repairable unit" world we live in! Throw it away and buy a well know TV set. Another item for the land fill....Shame! Sorry as it is, just a shame.

I am a life long technician. My power supply went south on my syntax 30" after 4 years of good service. After discovering they have no parts, I tore into to fix it. It was obviuos there were 3 Bad Electrolytic capacitors (the classic bulge) I replaced them but the are a few components that may have gone south too do to the short. Get This: THEY FILE THE PART NUMBERS. What a joke. Syntax I hope you are reading this. I am pissed.

Fought through the Oleiva terrrible customer support and received a power supply (2 months at least of emails and phone calls). Set working fine. Wouldn't ever consider buying another Olevia brand TV. Jeff

I am having the same problem with my Olevia LT26HVE LCD TV. I can't find a power supply anywhere. I would replace the part on the power supply (located on L14) but it is totally burnt to a crisp. If anyone finds a power supply with a part # or can tell me what was in L14 so icould replace that part please let us know.

It looks like there aren't any service parts available.
I service power supplies for TVs, LCDs, plasmas and many other applications as well.
I'm surprise the tech does not fix it to the component level by changing the parts needed only.
Anyways, let me know if you need more info. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org
