Here are the pinouts for the 4 wire and 6 wire D104 mics. they were great microphones back in the 1980s. I used to have one on my Ten-Tac HF ham radio.

Here are the Pin outs for different mics that will work with your radio. If a wire is not listed then you cut it off. It's best to keep the wires as short as possible no longer than a half inch is suggested. Normally the Cobra pin out is standard for most radios.

Hello,
Here is the wire diagram for several common mics in relation to a 4 pin CB. Most recent 4 pin CB's such as Midland, Cobra, Connex, Uniden, etc can use 4 pin mics. The wiring is actually depending on the mic rather than the CB so long as the CB's are 4 pin as well. Once you go back to late 80's the 4 pin design was a little different. Anything new it is simpler.

Astatic 4-Wire MIC. Wiring 1. Ground Shield 2. Audio White 3. Transmit Red 4. Receive N/C 5. CH. UP N/C 6. CH. Down N/C
Astatic 6-Wire MIC. Wiring 1. Ground Shield & Blue 2. Audio White 3. Transmit Red 4. Receive N/C 5. CH. UP N/C 6. CH. Down N/C
Offhand, the 4 pin mic connector and corresponding pin # would depend on the communications equipment the Astatic was initially wired for. However, the color coding of the wires in an Astatic would be:
white - mic audio;
shield/blue - gnd;
black - NC or speaker;
red - NO or PTT;
yellow - not normally used.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.
