Question about Televison & Video
Call this number 877 805 0519
You need to have the model number (DRC 8335) and the serial number before you call.
Apparently this model has had a lot of problems as they have set up this number specificaly for this model. They will ask you a few questions and then they will send you another unit. You will to pay to ship it yourself. You should read the reviews on Amazon.com.
As for geting your VHS Tape out ...Hopefully when they send you a new machine they can send your tape back with it...but dont count on it.

This was my response from Thomson:
We no longer have a network of authorized servicers. I suggest you check your local yellow pages or do an internet search for a nearby electronics repair facility.
The symptoms you describe are indicative of a power supply problem within the unit. My understanding is the most common failure of this nature is related to low voltage filter capacitors. These are C216, C218, C219, C226 & C228.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
