Hi I have bought a new sony DAV-DZ310 model home theatre.I have connected all the speakers and a woofer. All are working fine except the center speaker. It is not at all working.I have made the connections...

This may not be Dependant on the Music or DVD, but with the setting on the Home Theater system. Try out all the modes - such as 2 Speaker, Multi etc. within the Home Theatre system. In one of the mode only the center speaker works.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Can I connect a passive subwoofer Sony SS-W581T to a SONY receiver STR-DH510 ? Thank you

No. Like most AVR's it only provides a Line Level output for an externally powered subwoofer. Get a separate amp for the sub.

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

I have bought a Sony Home theatre with total 6 speakers (including woofer, rear speakers (2), Front speakers with stand(2) and onr central speaker. But the centre speaker is not responding during TV,...

That would all be a function of your HTS, not necessarily the speakers.

Get a handle on how IT works, maybe find the manual and perform setup to verify the speakers work at proper levels.

I imagine it has several Digital Sound Processing modes that can create multi-speaker sound from any source.

I have a sony STR-DH510 receiver and the speaker set that goes with the DAV-BC 150. i hooked up the speakers but i couldn't get the sub to output any sound. is there anything i can do to get it to work?

Hello ,you will want to go into the setup mode on the remote and make sure the subwoofer is turned on,it might be turned off .You can view the setings right on the front of the reciever as your scrolling thru speaker setting options.

I just bought a new Sony STR-DH510 reciever, I connected a sub woofer and 2 surround sound speakers to it and it worked perfectly. The next day I go to turn it on and it will turn on for about 30 seconds...

Problem is in the amplifier output stage...there is probably a shorted component...the short could have come from a bad speaker..or the speaker wires getting touched together while it was on...you could return to store if it is new and get a new one...maybe it was a return and accidentally got put back into stock

Sony Model DAV ? SB 500W Home Theatre System

Please check at rear of TV for Digital Optical IN port as home theater should have optical out port at rear. If you got any optical in port in TV, just connect optical wire between TV and home theater.

2nd option is check Line Out pins at rear of home theater system, if found, hook red-white RCA cable there and put it to same input in TV where you hooked Video (composite or component) cable.

Let me know the results to help you more.

Panasonic 50? Plazma TV TH 50PZ 800A + Sony Model DAV ? SB 500W

that is possible
the home theater has so many in puts on your dvd and out puts.
there is a way
1 you can buy a vedio/audio converted to rf signals, this will mean both signals entering tv using rf.
2 get your vedio out from dvd and audio out, feed that to a converter, vedio in and audio in okey

I have no surround sound when watching normal T.V

Hi there, in order to listen to t.v you need to purchase an optical cable and plug this in the optical out of the tv to the optical in on the blue ray then select D.IN.1 on the blue ray and press mode on the remote until it says matrix . This will allow you to listen to the t.v through all speakers. hope this helps. Also remember to take the rubber protectors off the ends of the optical cable, a lot of people forget this :)

How do I get video input from one source and audio from another?

I am confused and might be overlooking something obvious here. SO PLEASE do not think I am being disrespectful! IF you have everything connected properly, then your television is a separate device, independent of your Sony STR. You should be able to watch the picture with the Sony STR turned OFF. In turn, you should be able to LISTEN to the Sony STR with the television turned off. Although it isn't a lot of fun, it might be best to DISCONNECT all the cables (not your speaker wire) and go through the process of reconnecting everything.
