Question about LG 42PC3D 42 in. Plasma Television
I purchased my 42" inch plasma tv about 3-4 years ago. We have had no problems with it at all until this morning. Turned it on and there was no picture just horizontal lines throughout the entire screen. Then turned the unit off and back on again and there was just a black screen. Still get the sound OK.
I would suggest having the Y and Z Sustain boards replaced

How much does this cost?

I have the same problem, the black kind of fades away after 10 min or so but the color is way off and there are pretty serious shadows and residual images when the screen changes.

The price depends on where you buy it from. You can usually get good deals on circuit boards from sellers on ebay who part out broken tv's and sell the good pieces.
I check the model number with partstore.com and find the board number so I can search it on ebay and also see what other tv's use the same board. If you use ebay try to find a seller that has good feedback and either a warranty or refund policy.
That way if you buy the board and it's the wrong one or it doesn't fix the problem you can return it within a certain amount of time and the seller will charge you a restocking fee of like 15% of the purchase price minus shipping.
