Click on this link http://www.hp.com when at page click on support and drivers then put check in (dot)
download driver and software incl firmware.step 1..step 2 type in details (eg..nc4000)
select your model in next page then select os..the next page is all the drivers for your model.your base system device is 02micro memory.(youd never find your base device if you didnt know what it was) tip..whilst your there download also atiris local recovery ...once this is installed and run it creates a mirror image of your hd and then if ever you have any future probs you can recover hd (os) by pressing f11 at startup..

1.Download Belarc Advisor (free) from their website (http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html)
2.Make not of the model of the network adapter and video controller.
3.Search for drivers on the hardware manufacturers website
4.If you have trouble finding drivers there then try Driverguide.com and search there.

I can't reformat my hp compaq nc6000 i can't see any driver how can i reformat?

If you reformat it ALL will be lost on the hard drive if that is what you reformat. Then you will have to do a cold start using the Windows installation disks from scratch. This is a LAST ditch thing to do.

To reformat the hard drive completely you will have to use the utilities on your Windows installation disks which you may or may not have. Make sure you have your serial number and the necessary stuff to re-activate Windows and ALL other software disks for all the programs you have been using. Also any data you have such as photos, etc must all be saved on other medi that you can reload after reformatting and reinstalling Windows...

I think it is UNLIKELY you REALLY want to reformat the hard drive in your machine... It may take you days of work and frustration to complelwtely restore the machine after a reeformat of the hard drive.

Je trouve pas les driver de ma carte réseau 'contrôleur Ethernet' de mon lape-top hp compaq nc6000 j'essaye tout les driver qui existe sur le site officielle de hp

I hope you understand English. The problem is not your drivers it's the graphics card on your motherboard. It's a common fault with these. The graphics card, ethernet controller and wireless card all run from the same part of the motherboard and they overheat very easily making them stop working properly.

Hp nc6000 wont bootup

hi thanks for using fixya!

On this kind of error, the only option you could do is to format your system, but if you are not so familiar in formatting your laptop, I suggest that you bring laptop to service tech, to easily perform error checking and reformatting. This error might be virus or software problems.

Thanks! hope this will enlighten you. please rate me! good luck!

Most HP laptops have a recoverypartition on the HDD. You can start recovery from this by pressing F11 at the HP logo when booting the unit.

How to reformat my laptop without a cd??

When you turn it on, watch the screen carefully. Many times recovery is contained on a small partition of your hard drive. When your computer begins booting, watch for a short message that says something like, "For recovery press F11". It could be another F key. You will only get a couple seconds to choose it. Choose an option that does a full restore which will reformat the drive.
