Droped my boost mobile phone in toilet. My nephew dried out phone and removed sim card. I bent sim card a little inserting it back. Now im getting a no sim card alert. Do i need a new sim card.

If phone was on when dropped into water the electronics may have been damaged. Clean all sim card contacts and phone contacts and reinsert. If nada, it is damaged.

U might try another sim card to see if that works.

It keeps on saying no service

What is the phone model?

Here are some common issues:

1) Defective / Incorrectly seated SIM card.

If you are on the GSM Network or your phone has a SIM card installed it is possible it has been damaged with corrosion or scratched during transport. You will need to order a replacement SIM card and your best bet is to take it to your local dealer and purchase the replacement.

2) The card may not be seated correctly. Open the back of your phone or pop out your SIM tray and inspect the card. The copper should be virtually untouched and unscratched. Make sure you're inserting it properly when replacing it - Usually there is an icon underneath the battery or near the SIM slot itself which looks like a memory card and you'll notice one corner is at a 45 degree angle. Make sure you insert the chip as it is pictured.

3) You may be experience a service outage or interruption of your service. If the above fails try calling customer support and have them check to see if there are any issues with your account. .

4) The phone may be water damaged or physically damaged due to a drop and the clips which hold the SIM card in place have been knocked off, or the internal antenna has been destroyed. In this case if the above solutions do not work you'll want to replace the device.

If you'd like further help please let me know what the Model number of your phone is and I will be happy to help!

My Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9000 doesn't read my SIM Card

Can't figure out exactly what the problem is. Try with the following methods.
1) The SIM card might be damaged. To check this, Try inserting the SIM card into any other active network free phone. If it doesn't work then sure the SIM card is damaged. If it works fine then the SIM card is in good condition.
2) The SIM port on your phone might be damaged. Try inserting any other active SIM card to it. If it doesn't work, then sure the SIM port is damaged. If it work fine, Then the SIM port is in good condition.
3) The phone might be network locked. If the phone doesn't allow any network SIM cards to work with it except any one specific SIM card, Then it is sure network locked. You can unlock a Samsung Galaxy S2 safer and easier using unlock code. You can get the unlock code for a Samsung Galaxy S2 from ProUnlocking.Com at affordable cost with easy unlocking guide. Good luck.

"Insert SIM" is shown when SIM card already present. How do I get SIM card to work or be recognised by the phone, OR how do I get the info off it if it's damaged?

First All Check:
1.Confirm whether same sim card is working in other h.s or not.
2.Make sure the sim slot is o.k. only try these two.
3.If all the above steps fails, check the SIM card connector pins for damage.
if so try to get serviced.
4.if ur sim card is good then it is problum form sim card ic u have u raplace it with SMD.
u can make it jumper mean u can fix this prob with out sim card is for this contact.
5.take sim connector slight up by pin then cheak by inserting sim.
6.hot air gun on sim i.c. then cheak it.
Last Option:
IF make sure that the sim card hasn't been damamged at all sO Please You Go to Service
& Sim Office and Get the Duplicate Sim Same Your No From Office Oprator

My 6720 nokia phone has gone into offline mode and can not get it back online can you please help as this is a company phone, i have tried taking sim card out, and memory card out, still does not work

This problem occur when the phone gets dropped on a high place, water damage or setting on your mobile is changed.

Please follow this basic solution :

1. with the sim inserted on your phone, go to profile and select GENERAL. might you accidentally set your profile to offline mode.

2. check the simcard socket if its clean or well align, might corrosion is the problem that's why the sim fails to recognized.

3. Also clean the simcard itself using an pencil eraser.

4. align the battery terminal, might the power supply is not sufficient if the ground (middle terminal) doesn't reach the battery interface. as well as clean the battery connector.

If the above method doesn't work, consult a mobile service center for assistance, maybe the sim IC or some components related to insert sim problem maybe damage.

Good luck...

I put the sim card in and it says insert sim card

Hi, when a phone says insert Sim,is either the Sim card or the Sim seater that allows the Sim to work is bad.

First try the Sim card on another phone and see if it will display insert Sim again. If it display that means the Sim card is damaged. But if no display, that means the Sim tray of your phone is damaged and will need to be replaced.

Contact a skill prsonnel.
Take care.

hi ive had exactly the same problem as you and when i took my phone back to 02 they said it was water damaged, i have since sent it off for a repair with another private company and they have said they are 95% sure its a software fault due to the way my screen was turning black and then saying insert sim, but i shall let you know when i get it back if it has fixed it or it could be something like the sim card reader but please dont be fobbed off saying its water damage they shall just drop a bit off water on the water tab and say its beyond economical repair

Insert SIM

the contacts for the sim card may be dirty have a short ( was the phone dropped). Use a cotton swab and some contact cleaner (rubbing alcohol will work fine) and gently rub the contacts with the alcohol soaked swab. try inserting the sim card after the alcohol has had a chance to evaporate (about thirty minutes or so). [NOTE: the following may sound complicated and you may not be comfortable doing it - if this is the case then take it to a repair shop or get a friend who is inclined to to this sort of stuff] (I have done this several times and have had no ill results) If this does not help, use a (I think # t-5 or 6) star bit to remove the cover and casing. clean all the contacts with the alcohol (make sure you leave no strands of cotton behind), allow to dry and put it back together. After all this, and it still does not work I can only assume the controller board is damaged somehow.
