If, for some reason, a key codec has been unistalled from your computer, then resyncing to that computer might have caused that video loss. check here for more detaisl:http://193.95.171.83/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE/,/?St=95,E=0000000000373149783,K=1742,Sxi=15,Case=obj(12965),Kb=ww_english_add,VARSET=ws:http://us.creative.com/

Also, the DB could have become corrupted requiring the recovery tool or a firmwarae upgrade to resolve.

Creative Zen V Plus Bookmarks

A little known feature on this player is the ability to use bookmarks, up to 10 of them. Many of you listen to podcasts or audio books which may be fairly lengthy and if you have to stop in the middle of what ever you're listening to, normally when you go back to your player you would have to start all over again.<br /><br />A note about <span style="font-style: italic;">"resuming playback":</span> If you shutdown during playback of a podcast or audio book (not pausing or stopping playback first) your Zen will automatically resume playback when you start it back up.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Zen V Plus Bookmarking</span><br /><br />You can insert bookmarks during playback. "Video exceeds playback capability of the player"

That could be that you have AC3 sound in that videofile. Use Mediaencoder and encode to MP3 format.

Use PocketDivXEnvcoder and run the outout through it's video/audio sync option before copying it to your Zen.

Creative zen M Video has lines in it like color is going out.

Your video bitrate is WAY too high - thats why the ZVM is producing these lines, its processor is not able to handle such bitrates. Anything over 1300-1500 will produce problems on playback. Try 1200 for good stability. Audio bitrate should also not exceed 192 for stability.

Zen Vision:M videos out of sync..EVERYTIME!

ZVM cannot handle the AC3 audio so the AVI files need to have mp3 audio. I have a lot of videos that I have converted over the years that I want to play on the ZVM. In order to check compatibility I have been using gspot. I just open the program, drag and drop the file, and get all the details I need in about 5 seconds.

Sound Problem

I have same problem. Tried contacting creative labs about it but they just had me goin round in circles. I solved it by running the video through a video convertor program. Solved the problem for me. Works with both the video and the audio error.
