The light engine is bad on this set I'm afraid, it will cost you about a grand or so to have it repaired. Good luck

We have a rca tv model number hdlp50w151 there is something missing from the back of it on the bottom far right need to kno what goes there


Thats where the AC in board and DM unit are located. Can you take a picture and post it so I can see whats missing? Then I can identify what youre actually missing.

My tv made a pop noise and no has no picture just sound


Sounds like your bulb poped, They are easy to change, there should be an access panel on the back, here is a link to the bulb for your model.

My RCA Scenium HDLP50W151 TV has no picture. It


do you here a whining sound when you plug it up. when these units are first plug up there is a part called the color wheel that spins during boot process. if it doesnt reach speed then the lamp never fires. It is a motor and anything that moves evientally stops moving. it would have to be replace if you can get the part

Has the lamp ever been replaced on this TV? If not it would be the first suspect. The next time the picture goes out look for light coming from the back of the TV where the lamp is. If you see no light then replace the lamp. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thank you...

Lost picture extrem loud buzzing noise


You have a bad colorwheel. No to uncommon. It is in the light engine and you should probably call a tech. Input your zip on the homepage to find one in your area. Let me know if I can be of further assistance

is it a black area on the screen? or just cant see the heads anymore? either way its proabaly a setting on the remote such as zoom or ratio

I have an RCA Scenium HDTV DLP, Model HDLP50W151. Turned it on and went through it cycle, whining sound but the screen was gray. turned it off and then on again...no picture and there was no whining sound....


Sounds like the Color wheel on the Light engine has failed. Its a major repair. Contact Thomson at 1-866-465-7157 to find a local authorized repair center.
