Follow the directions given by the GPS device to reach your destination. Some models, especially in-vehicle navigation, offer voice directions.

When you input the destination let it pick the route. Then, without cancelling the route it selects, again press WHERE TO and put in the town you want to go via. When you press GO it will ask you is this a "new destination" or a "via destination". Select "Via" and it will guide you through that town.
The Nuvi you have does not support multiple destinations in a route. you can have 1 destination and 1 via point. So if you are going to a destination and you need to add a stop in the route, you can add the 2nd point to go to and then continue to the original destination.
