No. The stickt resisdule is either the capacitors leaking or fluid leakinf from the CRT (picture Tube) IF it is just a small amount that is centerd only near those capacitors its most likely the caps and they will need to be replaced. But look good to see if there is evidence of a larger area of leakage its probably the crt leaking. Either way the caps will need replacement and if the CRT is leaking the seal may need to be replaced or toghtened on the CRT. let me know if you need further assistance

Light indicater keeps coming on light wont stop. mitsubisi brand

Have you had the bulb replaced in the unit yet? There is a timer in the unit that is set to a specific number of hours. If that is not reset when the lamp is changed you may still have this problem. The issue could also be unrelated to the lamp but in the power supply itself. I think you would be best advised to contact a repair shop about the unit.

Unit goes off after about 30 minutes, possible overheating ?

Hi,do you hear any strange noises? If you hear clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the board that powers the lamp it's called the ballast. Here's the instructions to replace it : But if you don't hear any strange noises,tv is around 6000 hrs,2-4 yrs it could be time to replace the lamp. The lamp you need is BP9600826A.Have a blessed one!

Mitsubishi ws-55513 HELP!!!

Same thing happened to me.On the signal board there is 4 surface mount transistors. There is oneright by the input board (BA09), i would check the corresponding capsand diodes2_bing.gif close to it also. I would replace all of the 4 transistors. If this SMT starts to go you will see wavy lines in your picture thanit will go away in 3 min or so and get worse over time until no pictureis seen. When it totally fails you will have no inputs what soever butyou will have an OSD screen and when you choose DTV you will get ascrolling picture.
