Hi.

what you can do is go to phone ettings and set the network settings as automatic. if this does not work then there is a problem with your atenna.

Maybe there is a problem with your service provider network.Try and use the sim in another handset to check if its working.Try and reinstall the firmware on your phone.

Motorola razr v3 not catching signal

Have you used the external antenna port? If this is damaged it renders phone useless. Somehow connected to main antenna.

I had this issue about a month ago. You need a new sim card. Drop by the nearest store and they should get you one for free since yours is bad. Otherwise standard is 15 bucks.

Unable to use

Do a phone reset

try holding down the power
remove the back cover and battery
(at this point briefly let up on the power)
remove the sim card
wait for "insert sim card" message
remove battery
reinsert sim card and battery
release power key when the splash screen comes up

Did it get wet or dropped hard? All hope is not lost. Take the battery and SIM out. Put the battery back in and try turning it on again. Once you get the message requiring a SIM, power back down and put it back in. Then try again.

If this does not work, and you can access the menus, a software reset would definitely be worth a shot.

Water in phone

Alright so if you got a new sim it's more than probable that the connection is the problem. Remove your sim and take an eraser and clean it gently. Make sure you have the sim connector properly connected to the sim card, so leave the back off and turn it on I had to slide my sim card around a few times for it to work so try that till the message disapears. hope that helps.
