Question about Nintendo Wii Console

1 Answer

Doesn't recognize game

When I put a game in the console doesn't seem to recognize it. We have had the wii for about a year and just recently started having some remote issues. Now when the game is loaded it just shows a spinning disk on the screen and can't rad what it is. Any ideas? Did the problem with the remotes losing sync all the time cause this?

Check the lens, try to clean that optical lens, it is possible why it cannot read the disc bc it was dirty

We connect through our wii was working this morning not this evening

The WII is not getting the internet because the Wii is not recognizing your service. Try putting in the information manually. Also try entering your password correctly, you may have to change the settings on the Wii.
NOTE. As of May 20 2014, Nintendo recently closed down the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection services but you can still access the internet through Wii Shop to get games etc.
If you still have problems, Call Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700 to get help.
Hope this helps you.

Problems Go Through the Roof for Xbox 360 Vs. Wii

Here at FixYa, we have our community members solve problems dealing with all kinds of devices. I had a recent problem with my Xbox 360 and when I checked at the amount of problems associated with Video Games Console, I came to a surprising discovery:

Complaints about Xbox 360 Vs. Nintendo Wii

827af56.png
The Amount of Problems and Complaints about Xbox 360 is almost 3X the that of the Nintendo Wii.

Some might claim that the higher number of flaws in the 360 is due to the fact that it was introduced to the market a year and a half before the Wii, causing the average age of a 360 console to be older than the average Wii.

However this fact is somewhat offset when looking at the number of consoles out there – As of today there are 30% more Wii than Xbox360, much more Wii consoles to break down.

A 3X difference is really shocking, but I still thought it couldn't be as bad as it seemed. I thought the problems must be from people complaining about some trivial issues, but when I actually checked the Top problem on the Xbox, I found this:

3562989.jpg
The Red Circle Of Death:

Condition: When you turn on the Xbox you get a blank screen, a clack sound and 3 red lights on the front start that flash.

Result: Death. Or not being able to do anything with your Xbox.

Other frequent problems:

Showing picture but no sound – TV goes blank but you can still hear sound

2 red lights – XBOX turns off – Console is overheated and stops working.

Error E74 – Hardware malfunction – System hardware problem.

XBOX not reading Games – Lens gone bad.

Seriously? Those are some mean problems!

I checked what the Wii's Biggest Problem was:

Wii Remote doesn’t work:

Solutions: Resync it, Slap it or just Change the batteries…

704857d.jpg
Other frequent ones:

Forgetting password – Forgetting Secret question and password.

Ejecting disk – Disk tray doesn’t open up.

Unable to get into Wii Settings – Firmware issues.

It just comes to show you that the Xbox 360 is a beast and it has a lot of beast-sized problems while the Wii is a pretty simple machine.

The Wii scores another point; just feed it fresh batteries and it’s as reliable as a good old Atari!

The Wii will not recognize the disk.

Hi, it could be from you laser being dirty. Try blowing out the Wii with some canned air or an air compressor. If that dosen't seem to help then it may very well be you laser is broke and needs replaced.

I put a game into the wii (blank screen)

it will be a recent game your trying to load probabaly with an out of date loader. newer games have something called an .002 problem where they can just crash due to disk errors.
install an up to date loader such as gamma loader and in config you can turn on "002 fix" and it will run.
it did it on mine with the new EA fitness game, and the above sorted it. mines softmodded running 3.2E

Wii hanged and always displaying same messages

Sounds like you've put a game in from another region and the Wii has updated itself to that particular region. You will probably have to find a recent Japanese region game and update the Wii will the update on the game. Hope this helps...
