Fan speed too fast

posted by Meadows Home on May 22, 2008

Even on it's lowest setting, my Hampton Bay fan is too fast. We bought the size recommended for the room. Is there any way to manually adjust the motor to run slightly slower?
I have the same problem.

Is there a light switch control or just straight power to the fan? They do sell "Fan" controll switches just like a regular dimmer, but for a fan. If there is just straight power u would still be able to install a remote that could lessen the speed. Even if it is just pull chains. the remote would have three speeds and if u kept the pull chain on low, maybe the low remote speed could work.
