I have the same problem and the owner's manual mentioned "hot pipe", what is that?

Samsung RB2055SL Hot outside, both sides between freezer and refrigerator. High pitch buzz.

We just noticed the same thing. It is so hot between the freezer and refrigerator that it will nearly burn your skin. Haven't noticed any interior temperature problems yet. We did have a loud buzzing sound for the past couple of months prior to this problem. We opened the back panel and the fan doesn't seem to be running. There are no authorized repair services that will come to our house....so don't know what to do now.

same prob. hot doors, not so good cooling. take the bottom, back panel off. the fan that cools the evapaorator is mighty chinsy.. replaced the non working one with a unit from a computer.. the frige works great now...

Exact same problem. Very hot to touch. I am worried about leaving the house with it plugged in. Something is definately wrong.

Refrigerator is so very hot to touch, open door but do not touch panel
between doors, or sides. There is a hot smell coming from the frig.
Likewise we are not comfortable leaving the house with the frig so hot and smell so hot.
Is this a recall factor, dose the consumer have to wait till a small child get burned on the fridg. We have a small fan blowing under
the fridg to help cool off, turning down the temp to the lowest to have it shut off sooner, but I need the fridg to be cold.
Replacing the fan to cool the sys off is needed now.

Very hot panel between freezer and fridge, too hot to touch. I was told by technician it was definitely a fire hazard. I ended up having to replace the fan on my less-than-3-year-old unit, and it was NOT considered to be under factory warranty. Now, only 3 months later, my compressor has failed. WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK!

I had the same problem with my 2630. Unplugged the power cord and pulled the small panel off on the rear of the unit. The fan was working. I noticed a lot of dust built up on the condensor- the cooling fins were full of it. I took my small shop vac and cleaned off all that I could on the the surface of the condensor. Thought I'd try blowing it out in case I missed any in the inner part of the condensor. Reversed the hose on the shop vac so it would blow air and turned it on. Dust blew everywhere! Just vacuuming it out wasn't enough. No more problems with the heat- that seems to have cleaned it out so that the fan can now pull air across the condensor to properly cool it down. Hope this helps.

The fridge comes with condenser concealed inside body which removes heat from fridge & transfer to atmosphere hence it is found warmer than atm. temp.which is normal.the condenser is pipe in very long length to improve better heat transfer.this design also helps to remove sweating on body occured by cold air in fridge comp.u will find the hot effect is not everywhere on body because it is hot wherever the condenser pipe is there

It's extremely hot around the door frame of the refrigertor mainly the middle strip. Everything else is fine.

Hi,
Here is a tip that I wrote about the reasons why the sides and/or seals couldbe getting hot on your refrigerator.

Outside of freezer is hot to touch

Hi

If the unit was off for a while then more heat is inside the freezer after having it off for a while. That heat gets moved out to your condenser coil. Most freezers today don't have fans to force that heat to the outside air, they run that heat through the outer cabinet and it naturally travels to the cooler surrounding air. If there is no rear cover and no fan motor near that compressor this is how yours is designed. Just give it sometime and it should be fine. However it should be warm to the touch but not so hot you can't. And also depending on how long the freezer is running and how warm it is where the freezer is will affect how hot the outside is. The reason the outside of the freezer is hot is because that's how the freezer releases its heat from the refrigerant. The longer it runs or the harder it has to work the more heat it has to hive off. So unless the freezer is not cooling there is nothing to worry about.

Freezer does not work at all little cooling in refrigertor side

your evaporator coil in the freezer is frosted up and iced over, you need to remove the back panel INSIDE the freezer behind the freezer shelves and defrost the coil with a hand held hair dryer, then check the defrost heating element located under this coil for continuity,if its good, then the defrost thermostat on the top of this evaporator coil can be bad or the defrost control be it adaptive or timed can also be bad,if you manually defrost it will cool for up to a week if its not too hot and humid outside and you don't open the doors too often

We are wondering what the ideal temp. range should be in the room where the freezer is.

The cooler the better, most freezers use the side walls of the unit to disipate heat generated. The unit will use less energy in a cooler enviroment. The trade off is added heat to an area that is air conditioned. Overall you will be better off inside if it is hot outside.

The outside ridge between the freezer and cooler

I would guess that the condenser fan isn't running. It's underneath the fridge behind the cardboard cover on the back. It should be running when the compressor runs. You can place your own fan on the floor blowing under the fridge till you get it fixed.

Freezer side is hot outside

There is no problem at all. The outside of the freezer is hot because it is rejecting heat from the inside of freezer compartment to the outside surroundings, this is a normal refrigeration cycle. As for the seals being hot, this may be to prevent the door from freezing shut. i know that commercial and industrial freezers have heated seals for this reason.

My 3 glass doors cooler

There are generally 2 reasons why this would happen. The defrost timer or heater has gone bad. Or, the fan is not working. Because you state that it runs all day long, I would think that the coils are now a block of ice and cannot cool. In any case, manually defrost it now. Turn off the power and use a hair drier on low (not hot) setting. This should fix the electrical cost for now. Then you can determine if the fan is running properly, or the defroster.

Kenmore top freezer unit-refrig not cooling past 50degrees

check freezer for frost build up and if fan blowing, check condenser make sure clean, and fan blowing, check vents in refrig. make sure no blockage, freezer control should be in the middle setting, you can try turning that to Warmer freezer allowing MORE air to refrigertor side.
