Canon Rebel T3 won't transfer pictures to pc. Plugged in to pc and camera. turn on camera and nothing. pull up EOS utility and still nothing. Camera blinks red once and then nothing.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to transfer pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use the EOS Utility or any other photo management program, such as Picasa.

Canon Rebel XTi not recognized when plugged into usb

Vista is your problem. Solution...buy an inexpensive card reader to download your pics to a folder you create on your desktop. From there, you can send the pics to your photo editing software.

When I plug in my Canon EOS Rebel to the computer, it used to pop open with my pictures, now nothing happens and when I checked the Hardware section it shows that the computer is connected to a canon EOS...

  1. May be the drive letter is same one you already have. (like H: drive you already have and usb canon has the same name.
right click on my computer and click on manage. then look for storage and change the letter of your auxilary drive.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT will not connect to computer.

Please discard that the USB port or the USB cable are defective. You can do it if you try to hook your camera in other personal computer using the same USB cable. If it works, then follow the next instructions.

Connect your camera to the PC thru the USB cable and turn it on.

If you are using Windows, go to the Control panel - System - Hardware - Devices - and check if there is any device that was not recognized by Windows. Such devices are marked with a yellow question mark.

If so, get into the device item and with right mouse click, select to update the device driver.

If there was not unrecognized device, then you can unistall your USB port driver and then run a change hardware status to recognize the USB port again, then run the update driver routine.

Regards,

Cannot get pictures of my Cannon Rebel XTI camera

Do you have a USB card reader? You can pick these up cheaply, and it is quicker and easier to take the memory card out of the canon and read it with the card reader.

Change out the CR2016 3V battery. You have to remove the rechargeable battery to get to the CR2016. Refer to the manual for proper instructions.

Had the same issue with a two year old camera. This solved my problem.
