Question about Toshiba DKT-2010 Corded Phone

Stratagy DK issues

I have a Strata 424 with a stratagy DK. I programmed a night key. When 990 answers and they choose a ext. the ext doesnt ring / vm id codes have been set and CF-NA #604 has been programmed. Message lights also are not working. Its been 5 years since a install. Need help.

The night key on the phone only changes the location the trunks or lines ring. The voicemail should be set up with 990 as an " Introduction ", Thank you for calling ABC Company and 991 is the " Instructions ", If you know your party's extension please enter it now. The mail boxes should match the extensions and ring the phone. you need to verify the extension field in each mailbox to make sure they match. Do you have access to the voicemail programming ?

go to http://www.telecom.toshiba.com/ and download a users guide. I suspect you want to do this for VMail. So look for the Stratagy VM users guide on this site.

I have the Toshiba Stratagy Voice Processing System. It has worked great for several years, now only one phone will ring. The other phones only light up with no actual sound when a call comes in. Help!


Sounds like you may have accidently pressed a night transfer key. I would check all the phones and make sure none of the leds on the top of the phones are light.

I would guess you have the Stratagy VM? and it would have to have the Admin program and Connecting cord to program via RS232 more on ths cam be found here

if the password has not been changed it would be the extension followed by 997, i.e. password for mailbox 990 would be 990997 and 991 would be 991997, you can also log into mailbox 999 and assuming that password has not been changed and is 999997 you could go into admin mode and reset the mailbox security code for 990 or 991, hope that helps.

the Above is incorrect... to change ringtone on a toshiba Strata DK series you will need to go to system programming and go to program 80 and choose from 1 of 3.. if its a CTX its in system programming and must be done from admin PC and many more to choose from.

You did not say what kind of voicemail you have but since you have a DK16e I'll assume it is a Stratagy. The Company Greeting is usually split between mailboxes 990 and 991. MB 990 is the introduction ( Thank you for calling ABC Company) and MB 991 are the instructions ( If you know your parties extension please enter it now .... ). The Admin mailbox to set this up is 999 if you have three digit extension numbers and the default password is 999997#. If this password has been changed then you will have to get a local Toshiba dealer to help you as the password will have to be reset via a computer connected to the maintenance port of the voicemail. If you have a computer already set up to program the voicemail then that is where you will also take care of the Directory issues. If you go to www.wedophones.com and click on manuals, scroll down to Toshiba, click on Toshiba, then scroll down until you see Stratagy Voicemail you will find your Admin Guide, Good Luck and let me know how you make out or if I can help ......mitelmike

Wow, an oldie but a goodie. A DK-424 with 10 button sets....doesn't quite seem right, but the card is a 4-port trunk card (C.O.) without Auto Busy Redial.

Your base cabinet 424 can expand to 16 trunks and 32 phones in that cabinet.

DKT's wont ring from transfer


put an "H" after the extension in the voicemail, i.e. 200H, you have to put in your #656 #657 codes into the phones to integrate the voicemail. #656 91, ext of voicemail pilot, hold #657 92, ext of voicemail pilot, speed dial button (program one on the phone if it doesnt already have it), enter the number of seconds before the phone should forward to voicemail, i generally do 16, hold. that should fix that!

Call will not Transfer to Voice Mail


Typically you want your phone system to ring your phones (say extension 10, 11 and 15) and then if no one answers after so many rings the call is transfered to the port the voice mail is on (let's say it's port 16) The voice mail is set to answer right away but does not "ring" until the call is transfered to it. This way (at 4 rings) if a call comes in on line 1 and you answer after 3 rings but a call comes in on line 2 at the same time, the first ring on line 2 will not make the total = 4 and set off the voice mail. I would guess the port at your voice mail is not set to ring and nothing is set up to transfer calls to your voice mail. Did you set this up yourself? How did you program the phone system?
