Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
I have read other posts, but after trying some steps, my DS is still dysfunctional. I noticed a strange thing, which makes me wonder exactly where the problem is located, but if I jam the upper lid far back, I used to be able to get it to turn on, only if the lid didn't move. After quite a few times of doing this, it stopped working at all, and only does the quick power on, power off problem that many people have. I have checked every connector I could access, and checked the wring. All seems fine. I would gladly appreciate any help. Thanks.
If you have taken the ds part then when you have put it back together u may not have pushed the ribbons back in its slot enough even tho it may seem you have try this it shud work if not then u have blown the r1 and r2 fuses

Hi just bought a replacement screen for my ds and had the same problem. Ds powers on, screen flashes and turns off. Anyways googled the problem and found your posts. Went back to my ds and looked closer, when plugging the screen connector in make sure it is completely flush with the clasp, i might look ok but its not, push it in further. THaNKS GUYS

You might only have a loosen screen ribbon cable.
If not careful while taking out the top screen ribbon you can damage it causing blank screens and finally the DS wont work.
The solution to a broken top screen ribbon is to replace the whole screen in DS lite or buy the ribbon cable in the DS fat and replace.
If the broken top screen ribbon is caused by broken hinge then you should replace the shell also to avoid other broken screen.
