Question about HP Pavilion dv9000z Notebook
Hey, just todaymy HP Pavillion dv9000 (running windows vista 32 bit home edition) laptop has started playing up. While playing WoW I got a crash, where my screen froze and the sound playing was stuck in a loop, I couldnt do anything but reset the laptop by the switch.
Thinking it was a one off, I rebooted and started playing again, and the same problem again. I was using Ventrilo, Itunes and WoW at the same time, and I've NEVER had any problems before with this kind of thing.
I rebooted again and installed the latest sound driver, Conextant High Definition audio, ran spyware and addaware scans just incase. I began playing again, and the SAME problem.
I rebooted again, and began looking on the internet. I assumed this was a technical hitch in WoW itself, but upon watching a video online. My screen suddenly goes pixelly and little bits of colour appear everyone, along with it freezing and the sound looping. I reboot again and find I cannot get past the loading bar of windows Vista. (As in the little circle icon with the windows logo in it never pops up along with the sound).
I have been trying for the last couple of hours to get back back on my pc, but each time I reboot I get stuck on a black screen after the loading bar. I've run the startup fixer thing, used the restore point, scanned memory drives and everything but to no avail. I can sometimes choose the option to run it in safe mode, although I cannot choose the option much as it usually comes up with either 'Start windows normally' or run 'Startup fixer' (or whatever its called).
This may be and issue with sound, as the errors seem to occured because of that, but the display issues may also be part of it.
Anyone able to help would be GREATLY appreciated, this sucks :(
I think i was updating the graphics card and tons of multi colored pixes apeered. now all i get is a black screen with all the power lights on.
