Reset factory settings of sony cyber shot DCS-S650

I have a sony DSC-S650 Digi cam, my LCD is not showing any preview, i want to restore the factory defaults, from 1st setup menu when i chose "initialise" option it only initialises the date

Initialize function reset all data/ settings to factory defaults including date. I think, LCD Back Light of your cyber-shot is not working and its hardware problem. Contact nearest Sony repair shop.

It is problem of lens mechanism and only solution is to replace lens assembly. Local camera repair shop will help you to replace lens assembly because it is not user level repair.

My sony cyber shot dcs-t1 . The LCD goes all white when i take a picture. I rarely use the camera.

Does camera show live view correctly on LCD to take picture?
Does camera playback old stored pictures in memory card properly in LCD?

Date display after down load, DSC-S650 Sony camera
you will not see the date and time on the thumbnail. look at the photo in full screen. make sure part of the photo is not "cropped" by checking to see if the arrows appear at the bottom and right. I bet the date & time is there, you are not seeing it.
