Question about Sylvania 6419TC 19" TV

Your comment You responded to my problem by saying "Intermittent problems are the toughest to track down, but usually have one of two root causes. Cold solder joints are an intermittent contact between where a component (transistor, etc) is mounted to the circuit board and the electrical contacts of the board itself. The other cause is components which break down under heat. Either way, if your not much on troubleshooting, have a TV shop service it, it can be easily repaired." Is this expensive, should I just buy a new set?

Hi, I posted back, maybe you didnt see... says...

Depends on what shop finds. Personally Id get $50 for fixing something like this, but not all shops are so honest, if you know what I mean. Some shops will give an estimate before actually making the repair.

Resolving intermittent Windows USB device issues

PROBLEM: USB Devices (Both internal and external) work intermittently.
DISCUSSION: Issue is caused by Windows power management disabling the USB Root Hub to save power (This option is on BY DEFAULT in all Windows installations)
RESOLUTION: Open Device Manager, scroll down to the USB Root Hubs Listings (There may be as few as two most I've seen is 7) Right click each hub, select Properties on the drop down menu, then click the POWER MANAGEMENT tab. There you will find a check box to allow windows to turn off this device to save power. Uncheck the box and close the window, repeat on remaining USB Root Hubs, then reboot.
This will resolve most intermittent USB device issues.

92 s10 blazer 4.3z intermittent start

Occasional problems are the toughest to solve. You have to narrow down the possible causes when the engine fails to start. You start at the coil and see if you have spark, then continue from there. The worst part is not knowing for sure if you have fixed it.
Could be the coil, ignition module, a relay, or a long list of things.

I have a 03 yz 250 How much PSI do I put in my tires for racing track

The factory recommends 15PSI. I usually run 12PSI.

Depends a lot on what tires you have and what kind of "track" you are riding. You typically want a firm tire (more pressure) for a soft surface and a softer tire (less pressure) for a hard track but there are always exceptions depending on the details of the track and what tire you have mounted up. If you are riding a track with a lot of hard braking bumps or firm ruts or even tree roots (if you ride trails) you should run more pressure - like maybe 13-15PSI. If you run less than about 10PSI you risk pinching the tube and getting the rim damaged from sand intrusion between the bead and the tire which can cause a lot of problems unless you change your tires frequently and run multiple bead locks. To run really low pressures usually means you don't have the best tire on your bike for the conditions in my opinion.

To simplify:
Soft track, hard tire - run 12-15PSI
Hard track, soft tire - run no less than 10PSI

I get intermittent ABS, traction control and power steering warnings simultaneously. After the ABS & traction indicators stay on typically until I restart the car . I checked in with on-star and they...

Usually when I see this the problem it's related to one of the wheel speed sensors not giving the correct signal to the ABS system. A missing or faulty sensor reading will cause the ABS and related systems to turn off which causes the warning lamps to come on. The reason it works again once you have shut off the car is that the system resets and works until it sees the problem again. I would have the service codes read with a scan tool. Once that is done the problem is usually fairly easy to track down.

The passangers window is electric and it will roll down but not up

Hello... This problem is usually associated with a bad switch or a bad window motor. One way to tell which one is listen for the sound of the motor when trying to raise the window. If you hear the motor trying, it is not the problem. Then it could be something is stuck in the window track.

If more help is needed.. Respond to this forum and post a comment.

Good Luck... Mike

Cuts out while driving along . Not a lot to say, have changed the crank handle sensor.

There are many other causes to investigate. Intermittent shut down can be caused by a bad ignition switch or other intermittent bad connection in ignition system, fuel pump beginning to fail, coil beginning to fail or a bad relay. This is the kind of problem that shops hate because during testing, unless something has left a stored code, everything will test fine When the engine shuts down, you need to determine what's missing ...fuel or spark. Then you can begin to track down the problem. You will need a decent digital multi-meter and a manual such as chilton or haynes as a guide for those tests. No competent tech will replace parts by guessing...you should not either.

Automatic Side door starts but does not open, using either the key button or the interior buttons. What are the usual causes and how much is the repair

It is usually the wire track in the bottom of the door jamb area. A break in one of the wires in the track opens slightly upon movement of the door and it no longer responds. Replace the wire harness/track assembly. I'm not sure of the price of the part, but the replacement procedure is pretty simple. I hope this helps.
