Deanmrd,
Sounds like a driver communication issue. Please try uninstalling the driver and related software, reboot, and then re-install. Make sure to reboot in between.

Thanks.

HI.I BOUGHT EEEPC1001P WITH WIN XP HOME RUSSIAN BUT I WANT TO CHANGE THE OPERATING SYSTEM TO WIN XP PRO TURKISH.WHAT CAN I DO?HOW CAN I DO THAT?PLEASE ANSWER IMMIDIATELY.

There is a very expensive Microsoft program that allows language changes but it is for corprate licenses. Us poor folks have to buy a new copy of XP in the language we want and reinstall.
You can change some of the language by:
  • Open the Control Panel.
  • Open Regional and Language Options.
  • Click the Languages tab.

  • Changing the language does not change the language of the menus and dialogs of Windows or Windows applications like Internet Explorer.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/winxp/yourlanguage.mspx has more discussion on what can and cannot be changed.

No image...blank with red x or blue box in uper left corner...clicked on show pic. don't work .( computer is windows xp home edition) and sites i go on are taking to long to load.

    1) Open Internet Explorer
    2) Go to Tools Menu
    3) Select Internet Options
    4) Select Advanced Tab on right
    5) Scroll down to Multimedia - make sure Show pictures box is enabled

The box you are describing can also mean that the image that is supposed to be displayed is no longer available on the site you are accessing.
If the sites you are accessing you should check to make sure that you are not downloading anything in the background, no one is using your wireless without your knowledge and that you are using WPA protection for your wireless access and not WEP.

Go to speedtest.net and check your speed... if you are still getting poor speeds - then you should call your ISP - they may need to reset your connection.

If this helped you then please help me and vote kindly, thank you

    WINDOWS XP COOKIES

    Hello,

The concern with cookies comes though your browser. You can control the cookies on your browser. Go to control panel, internet options, privacy and select the options you want. At this point, you need to select the option that Does not notifiy you when a web site wants to set a cookies or just set to default. This works for Internet Explorer. Other browers will have something like tools and an option selection.
