i want to use my s-video out to connect on my tv but i am getting only black and white picture,,how can i fix this prob.
i am having sony vaio vgn-cr26gn laptop with ATI graphic card, when i am trying to connect the s-video output on the laptop and 3 RCA cables to my phillips tv and after some research could connect the laptop desktop onto the tv but on black&white picture, for audio i connected the audio output cable to the 2 RCA jacks on the TV and i could hear clearly, but why i am getting only b/w picture, how to get colour picture. thanks in advance

-   Hi, I am having a problem, my sony vaio used to show good clarity when connected thru S video cable on my TV. Now when I try it, it does not show be colored picture in the TV. Checked out the s video by connecting to another laptop and it works.. Is there any setting in my notebook that I need to do? Please advice-   SChiks

Possibly you have a 2 channel av card built on your tv have you checked all channels if so Maplins do a s-video to phono adapter that converts to colour

After searching high and low I finally found a page with an easy fix for this. http://camp0s.altervista.org/sVideo/how_to.htm I hope this works as good for you as it did for me ;)
