I have an acer extensa 5620 laptop and it won't turn on. I shut it down last night and it was stil plugged in and won't turn on or do anything now. It's done this before but then started working after a while. The battery light is on right now but it is yellow/orange and not green...when i push the power button nothing turns on. no light or anything

Try the ff. steps in sequence:
- remove the battery
- unplug ac adapter / charger from laptop
- hold down power button for 10 secs
- plug ac adapter to laptop (leave the battery out for now)
- turn it on w/o battery
- when it turns on, you can place the battery in
- check if the battery charges as well..

Remove the battery from the underside and let it set for 22 minutes, this will reset it, as long as it is given power from the laptop, it will continue to hassle you. Let me know if there is still a problem and we can go further, but I seriously doubt we need to, this is a great fix to the battery and power up problems with 99% of them..... Guy :)
