Electronic Oven Control won't work after power failure

I was using my oven when I heard a bang and the Electronic Oven Control (EOC) went blank. I went downstairs and the breaker had switched off. I turned the breaker back on, and the EOC had power, but the clock was flashing and the code flashing was PF. This PF code often flashes once the power comes back on after a power failure, but this time when I press any of the buttons on the control panel, nothing happens. The manual says to press the clock button for 10 sec, then it will beep and reset, but nothing happens. No buttons work. The gas cooktop works and the warming drawer works. It's just the control panel and the oven that won't work. Any thoughts? HELP!

try unplugging unit for a few min then try again, but you may have a bad control

What is the f1code on the frigidaire convection oven

Hi Denise:
Error Code F1 generally is asociated at EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure. In order to solve it you will need to replace Electronic Oven Control (also called EOC or clock).

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

Frigidaire Mod.FEF369CGTE, F1 and now getting F9 please help

Hi n5my ,

F1 =  Electronic oven control failure
Sol. Replace electronic oven control (also called EOC or clock).

The "F9" error code means the EOC (electronic oven control) has found the lock motor switches to be out of sequence or shorted.

Test switches and if there is nothing wrong then replace the EOC.

both of the error indicates the problem in EOC.

R.K.

Have a frigidaire es510, i am getting an f20 err when I amtrying to use the stove

Hi ,

This is the code for a communication failure between EOC (ELECTRONIC OVEN CONTROL) & ESEC system
1. Test harness/connections P4 (EOC) & P11 (Surface Element Control Board)
2. If harness checks O.K. failure can be caused by faulty UIB, Surface Element Control Board or EOC.
Check on the back of the stove there should be an envelope attached to it that has service paperwork in it with diagrams
It will most likely need a new oven control very easy to replace just remember to remove the power to the unit before you work on it.
Please contact me if you have any more questions.
