SOURCE: Bobbin Case

I'm having a similar problem today. I took out the bobbin case and when I went to put it back in, the whole system locks up. I've tired cleaning, changing needle taking the metal plate and piece that holds bobbin case out and put it all back in after cleaning. Nothing. My symptom is I can't get a complete stitch, the needle goes down, the whole deal acts like it will work and as soon as the arm of the bobbin case gets to 8 o' clock on the gears, It jams and won't hardly move. I cannot pull the bobbin case out easily after this. Perhaps there is someone out there that can help us!

SOURCE: bobbin case is popping out, and machine is birdnesting

Usually when this happens the bobbin is in wrong, replace it make sure the thread is going out the right way, make sure there is no lint or small pieces of thread around or underneath the bobbin area. Make sure you thread it with the foot up. Also make sure you are usng the right bobbin for the machine. They can easy get mxed up.

SOURCE: how do i replace the bobbin case in singer machine

When you insert the bobbin case, make sure the "knub" on the bobbin case (#1) is just to the left of the position finger bracket (#2). It should sit in there nicely and you should be able to spin the hand wheel freely.

SOURCE: Singer 4562 t bobbin case won't fit properly, what am I doing wro

Make sure the bobbin case sets sort of on top and not under the ridge of the metal ring. There is a small latch on the upper left of the bobbin case. It is metal. rotate the latch to cover the bobbin case and this should stabilize the case without making it immobile

SOURCE: Brother VX-1120- The needle is not picking up bobbin thread.

I had the same problem with my brother vx-1120 sewing machine. I set the needle to lowest position by using the hand crank. Then I loosened the knerled set screw that holds needle in place. Then I moved needle shaft till the eye of needle is just lower than the hook on the shuttle loop maker. It made my mechine work. There are instuctions for ajusting timing on machine but I think these mechines are built to not fix and throw out. Just because there where no ajustment marks at all on machine, any machanical machine will needed to be ajusted sometime.

Needle bar stuck singer 1120 wont move with pedal or manually turning the dial

Very likely there is a thread or two stuck in the bobbin area. Open up the bobbin door, remove bobbin and bobbin case. Now try to turn it with the handwheel. If still no action, then look closely at the socket where the bobbin case fit into. There are 2 black plastic levers -one on each side. Move each one outward. This will allow the center to easily fall out.
Now move the hand wheel. If it is still stuck, then remove the needle plate. Remove two screws to allow the plate to come off. Now you have a clear view of all the mechanism around the needle and bobbin area. Remove stray dusty bunnies, thread etc.
If that does not do it, then you may have an issue with the belt or motor -but not too likely.
Reply if you are still having problems.

What is the correct bobbin for a Singer 1120?

The 1120 uses the Class 15 bobbin; either the metal generic bobbins or the plastic ones (including those with the Singer brand name) will work. One vendor has the following: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bobbins-class-15-metal-10-pack.aspx and http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bobbins-singer-10pk-81348.aspx . If you ever need to check for other accessories for your machine, see http://www.singerco.com/accessories . Enter your model number in the search box partway down the page and press enter. You'll see the entire list of available accessories for your Singer.

I hope this helps.

Singer machine problem .its wheelhand doesnot move and so hard, needle doesnot go down plz tell ,solution

First thing to do is take out the bobbin and bobbin case, there may be a small piece of thread jammed holding the machine back, if it is still tight after that oil with WD40 on all moving parts, if that fails it will be a shop job.

Need a tutorial for replacing the bobbin into the vertical case on a Model 1120 Singer. The bobbin always wants to fall out before I can get the rest of it put together, and locked.

Replacing the bobbin into a vertical bobbin case on a Singer model 1120 sewing machine.

I kept messing with it, and after a few hours it finally slipped into place.

I just rec' a singer 1120 and the thing seems to be bound up

Look in your manual and find the "Bobbin stopper". It has two positions. One of these positions locks up the machine. Just push it to the side and your machine will free up. This drove me nuts finding it. After I found it, my wife said, "oh yeah, now I remember"!

Machine No. K1831(256) No.28 how do you set up the stop motion wheel to wind bobbins. It either winds bobbins whilst sewing or just free wheels. I think there must be a way of adjusting this action....
