Using Overdrive Media Console to transfer audio books I had downloaded from the public library to my Sansa 200 I get an error message 0XC00D2772

My Sansa e280 worked perfect for 2 years downloading and listening to Overdrive Media audiobooks from my library. Then about 2 months ago it started giving me the message the the subscription was expired (it was not) and when I tried to troubleshoot (erase and re-transfer) Overdrive is now giving me a similar error code "Unable to transfer the selected title because [Insert] returned 0xC00D2772". I did not install any new programs nor had I updated firmware (I have since updated firmware, but it did not help). This seems to have happened out of the blue. Frustrating!

FiXED!
Had the same problem
I fixed it on my e260. The solution: Drag and drop the mp3 file directly into your media player, skip the overdrive 'wizzard', you need to find the folder where the media is stored.

The file is probably DRM-protected. It is possible to remove the protection using a software program.

Have a look at this link for more info:

Hi.
I report a solution from Portable player FAQ, let me know if it works:
1. Delete the title in the Overdrive Media Console program.
2. Then log into the Audiobook site at http://e.hbpl.org and click on My Account, My eItems Checked Out, and click the Download button the website to re-download the book.
3. Transfer the newly downloaded parts to your player.

Downloaded books from the library won't play

I was having the same problem when I used Overdrive Media Console to transfer my audiobook files to my Sansa. I updated the license and retransferred and even tried changing the USB settings on the mp2 player. What finally worked? Using Windows Media Player to sync the files instead. When I hooked up my Sansa I chose "use WMP to sync files" and then I dragged/dropped the audiobook files to the mediaplayer window. The audiobook now plays without any problems since WMP made sure the files have the latest subscription update code.

Can't transfer data files

I was afraid of that. The file that you are trying to load has a DRM license on it that has a fixed-term license. It will play on your player for about a wekk or so, and then it is unusable except on the computer itself.

Most mp3 players that claim to support audiobooks don't really support most audiobooks - or don't play them correctly. Audiobooks that are in mp3 format (as in, NOT Overdrive) will give you the fewest problems.

Error on downloading audio books

The new Sansa c200 series devices come with some songs on them from the factory and apparently they are in a special format.
All I had to do was fomat the device using its Settings Menu choice.
It wiped everything off the device, but then I was able to sync any song over to it using my Yahoo Music Jukebox software.

Can't transfer data files

Hi,

I called Sansa and I was instructed to format my player. The steps were as follows:
1)Connect player to computer
2)Go to my computer and right click on your player
3) Click format on the menu

This will start the formatting of the player. After this I was fine. This is the 2nd time I have had to do this in a year and all I put on this player are books.

******Please Note**** This process will erase any files you have on your mp3 player.

Can't transfer data files

Hi shellibelli,

I am not expert, but I had the same problem using OverDrive Media to transfer audio books and music to my SanClip 2mb. So, here is what I did, I hope it will help you.

On my mp3 player I went to "Settings" -> "USB Mode" - > and then I selected "MTP", whereas "AutoDetect" was what was previously selected by default. This seemed to solve my problem. I hope it helps you!

Order File for Audio Book

Can you rename the files? If so, try renaming the single digit chapters to have two digits - for example 1 becomes 01, 2 becomes 02, etc.

"Synchronize to continue your subscription"

To get rid of that message, you need to connect your Sansa to your computer and open the Rhapsody software to "deauthorize" your Sansa (assuming that you're not going to be using the Rhapsody service). The following URL gives you two options on how to deauthorize your device (look at the bottom section of the page): http://home.real.com/product/help/chandler/en/instruction/auth_deauth_pd-textonly.htm

Synchronize to continue your music subscription message

I received the same error message. When you download a file from a subscription service, such as an audio book from a public library, you usually have to open the file on your computer first, which I believe, "activates the subscription" with the appropriate license. Some of the services pop up a screen telling you that your license is activated, but others, such as Overdrive, seem to do this automatically. When I downloaded a book and transfered it to a Sansa c240 mp3 player, I received the "synchronize" error message, but when I went through the above procedure and transferred to the mp3 player, no problems, and no error messages. farrell@comcast.net
