  1. Is your machine overheating? Is the bottom of the laptop hot to the touch, and are the fans going full speed at all times. Overheating can cause freezes or restarts. If so, make sure the air vents (in and out) are properly ventilated. Try blasting some canned air through your air vents in both directions to loosen any dust that could be clogging air flow. Use short bursts; you don't want the condensed liquid shooting out.
  2. It could be a software issue. Download, install, and run Hitman Pro. It will run several powerful anti-malware utilities automatically for you to hopefully clean up any "baddies" on your system.
  3. Download and burn Memtest to a CD. Restart the computer and boot from it to test your RAM. It will take a while to complete, but since failing RAM can cause this issue it's a good thing to check.

Every time I start up my computer it freeze.s before I can even open anything. I can't get to the start up screen, the control panel, or even shut it down correctly. I would like to know what the problem...

there is an application in Windows that causes your operating system to freeze. Maybe it's a virus or an application that is too high to handle the PC in startup. Try to use System Restore in safe mode option before booting in Windows to restore the previous state of your PC.

Toshiba screen press f2 for set up and f12 bios management

I guess a new software install could have caused the issue. The could be conflict between devices.

Remove all the USB devices connected to the laptop. Remove external mouse and keyboard also if any.

Try booting. If it still does not boot then restart system and keep pressing F8 to view the boot options. If you get the boot screen then choose Safe mode option and try booting in to the desktop. Once the desktop is available go to Start-> Accessories-> System Tools-> System Restore to restore your system to a previous date.

If F8 does not work then probably you can do a complete reinstall of the OS by pressing F11 or Ctrl+F11. You will lose all the data in the system using this option and the system will be restored back to its factory settings. (This option works only if the laptop has manufacturer provided OS in it)

else you need to contact Toshiba tech support for any hardware related issues

Hope it helps !
Good Luck !

Toshiba Satellite iss getting power but won't start up

Try pressing F8 to start it in safe mode. If you get into the operating system, Go to System Restore under the STart-Programs-Accesories-System tools-System Restore. Pick a date before the laptop started this problem, and the wizard will guide you the rest of the way.

Toshiba Satellite A105 laptop keeps shutting off for no reason.

I think your fan might be broken....if the fan doesn't cool the pc,the processor or the chipset will automatically shut down the pc to prevent burning hardware.Or your hard drive might keep crashing.Oh yeah and abstract from this i don't recommend ever using mcaffe

TOSHIBA SATELLITE LAPTOP a300d-14O TURNS ITSELF ON AGAIN AFTER SHUT DOWN WHEN LID IS CLOSED

Your power management in Windows is corrupted. I would do a system restore to an earlier date.
1.
Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click System Restore.
2.
On the Welcome screen, click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next.
3.
On the Select a Restore Point page, select the date from the calendar that shows the point you'd like to restore to, as shown in Figure 2, and then click Next.

4.
On the Confirm Restore Point Selection page, verify that the correct restore point is chosen, and then close any open programs.
5.
Click Next if you are ready to proceed or click Back to change the restore point.
6.
The computer will shut down automatically and reboot. On reboot, you'll see the Restoration Complete page, and then click OK.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
