How can I retrieve contact numbers from my fone that has discharged and wont charge

My phone died and now won't power on or charge. Here's how to fix it. Did your mobile phones battery drain all the way to zero and now your device is completely dead, not powering on or not even letting you charge it? This article will go through some tips on how you might be able to revive your dead phone.
If your cell phone is a smartphone then this is a reasonably common issue. It used to be a general practice to run older batteries to zero battery life before charging them back up to full again but try not to do that on the new smart phones, they use lithium-ion batteries which discharging 100% is a major concern and isn't good for the health of the battery.

If your battery has drained to zero and now the phone won't respond then try this

Pull the battery Start out by pulling the battery out of the phone for a few minutes then put the battery back into the phone, put the phone all back together and then plug it into your ORIGINAL charger that came with the phone. Make sure that you use the original charger that came with the phone. If you don't have the original charger then make sure that your charger is a manufacturer approved charger. If your battery is built into the phone and you cannot remove the battery from your smartphone then try to perform a simulated battery pull. Many phones have a method to restart the device, usually by holding down specific buttons or keys on the device. Much like the Motorola Atrix HD simulated battery pull or the Sony Experia simulated battery pull where you hold the volume down key and power key simultaneously while the phone is powered off.
Check the outlet Sometimes we can be too close to an issue and can overlook something as simple as a wall outlet attached to a light switch that's turned off. If the light switch is designed for turning off and on a light and the switch is off then there is no power coming from the outlet and obviously your device isn't going to charge.
Try a different outlet This can go hand in hand with the above suggestion. Try a different outlet to make sure it's not a power socket issue.
Try using a computer or car charger Using a computer or car charger instead of a wall charger can sometimes put a quick charge on your battery and get it to respond as well. Keep charging it If you have tried these methods and your phone isn't responsive due to its battery being drained 100% then it can be difficult to get your phone to charge again. Try charging it for at LEAST a couple hours on an outlet you know to be working, even all night if possible. Lithium ion batteries can take a while to get to charge again if drained all the way. So try charging it for a while, You might need a new battery If you try these tips and suggestions or have tried all these things already and there is still no response, and your phone is completely dead and will not recognize a charger then you might need to try another battery.
Try a different charger If you have tried a different battery then make sure you try your original charger first, as mentioned above. If there is no response then it might not be your battery but your charger that has malfunctioned and might need replacing. If you have any spare chargers try those to see if you can get a charge out of your phone. Replace the device If you have tried a different battery and a different charger and your phone is still little more than a paper weight then you should start reviewing your phone replacement

My Galaxy S5 not charging need help??

1. have you verified the adapter works with another phone
isolate the problem 2. does it charge a little if you jiggle the wire?
is it a connection issue? or bad usb port? 3. is the phone completely dead?
some samsung products are notoriously difficult to charge from dead. try to remove the battery and put it in a friends phone to charge it up, then put it back in yours and never let it go to zero.

My blackberry mobile phone cannot swith on ; the screen cannot come on

To answer all 3 of your questions. There's a chance your phone is dead. Could be a fried battery, could be a totally dead phone. If you've tried charging it and that didn't help. It's dead.

If you get a lightning bolt on the screen while charging. The battery is fried and needs a new one. If you plug it in and get nothing, no lights, just a tethered brick. The phone is dead.

Won't work at all. The battery ran low, I plugged it into the charger as usual........it didn't vibrate or beep as normal............now I can switch it on.......but it never goes past the apple icon...

Either your battery is completely dead and needs to be replaced, or you just need to let it sit and charge for awhile. Mine did kinda the same thing and i let it charge for a few hours and started it up again and it was fine.

My nokia 6220 wont start. When holding down the "on" button it just vibrate a little and the screen lights up a little bit, then it goes back to completely black again

The battery cell may be completely dead and you need to replace the battery. Because its going completely black again means its actually completely of. So try and change the battery, but make sure you charge it till its completely full before usage. Hope that puts a smile on your face.

I want to format my nokia 5130 xpress music phone memory

Since its based on symbion s60 software, it can b formated in 2 ways...

Method 1
  1. Make sure you phone is fully charged.
  2. Backup your contacts list and personal files to MMC memory card (if possible).
  3. Switch on your S60 phone.
  4. Press and hold these three keys together:
    • Red dial key,
    • Sharp key (#)
    • One key (1)
  5. Press the power on/off to swtich off the S60 phone. Do not let go the three keys until you see the “formatting” screen displayed
  6. Wait a few minutes until the format is complete. Your S60 will now be at its original factory settings
Method 2
  1. Before you format your phone, make sure you back up all your ringtones, SMS and picture messages and most importantly yout contacts. You can use the Nokia PC Suite to do this.
  2. Once you’ve done this, key in *#7370# *#7780# . It will immediately prompt you to restart your phone.
  3. Select ‘Yes’ and the phone will restart after formatting. It takes about 2 to 3 minutes to complete the process. Also ensure that your phone is well charged before you format.
  4. Now restore all your ringtones, messages and contacts and you once again have a fresh OS.
Hope dis is helpful...

V3 dead but keypad flashing

I had exactly the same problem. After unsucessfully looking for a solution on the net I removed the simm chip and set it aside. The next day, I put it on PC usb charge and left it overnight. The next day, I powered it up and it worked. I turned it off and replaced the simm and it is now working fine. Go figure...
