The electric clock display and oven control will not work. The gas burners will ignite, but the oven will not light with out the panel

This indicates the ERC Electronic Range Control has failed. First check the key pad. Press each button one at a time. You should feel or hear a click and feel the retraction. If any button is not working the problem is likely in the key pad. If you locate the tech sheet ( somewhere on the stove, usually in the control panel) it may have a ohm check that can be done on the key pad to rule out the key pad. If all seems good the control is at fault. Check to see if you have power going into the control. If you do and nothing is working the control board or ERC needs to be replaced. Here is a link for checking and replacing an oven control. If you need diagrams and illustrations of your specific model enter your model their. All parts come with installation instructions.

Oven electronic oven control will not adjust, up and down arrow pads not work - stuck at 350. Is not locked out.

That sounds like a keypad problem. Try this: See if the control responds to each button ... press the button, hear a beep, hit cancel. Check if UP/DOWN work in any of the clock setting modes. If a specific group of buttons always do not register, it is likely to be the keypad. Sometimes the keypad connection gets oxidized and causes somes keys to go dead. We put a procedure to clean this connection on our website, link below. You have to open up the oven to do this, so you may want to hire a tech for this.

GE Profile JGB97 Self Cleaning Oven Controls won't work

It sounds like the controls have been placed into a lockout mode. If your model is a JGBP79 do the following:
1) Press the BAKE and BROIL HI/LO pads at the same time for 3 seconds until the
display shows SF.
2) Press the SELF CLEAN pad. The display will show LOC OFF.

Now here is where the directions are kind of confusing, I will give it as they say it:

3) Press the SELF CLEAN pad again. The display will show LOC.
4) Press the START pad to activate the control lockout feature and leave
the control set in this special features mode.

Seems to me if its locked already, you would just do steps 1 and 2. And if you wish to lock it do steps 1 thru 4.
