Question about Canon Pixma MP500 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I continued reading what others did with the same problem and one said to move the printer head to the left and look to the right way under there. Sure enough there WAS a tiny piece of paper in it and once we removed it, the printer spit out a small photo paper and all was corrected. I appreciate all of the comments posted on the internet... Thanks!

Tips for a great answer:
CAUTION: Remove paper from the tray as carefully as possible. If any torn pieces of paper remain inside the printer, more paper jams are likely to occur, and this could damage the print mechanism.
