Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer
For a couple of months now my washer would stop for long periods of time after the wash cycle was over. When it started back up it would make this loud cranking noice or a grinding noise and would begin the rinse cycle. Then the spin cycle would begin but the washer would not spin and the clothes remaind very wet. Along with that the fabric softner would not dispense. What I had been doing was turning it of and starting it back up again to begin at the spin cycle and then it would spin and dispense the fabric softner. Today however when I when to turn it of to start a new cycle this poping noise occured and I saw a light purple/white light from the top rear of the washer. After this my washer would no longer turn on. I am now left with a small load of clothes with water in the washer! PLEASE advise if fixable on our own or should we call it in or should we just buy a new one? Thanks a Million for the help!!!!
