I have a nikon d-70 and it stop taking pictures about 3 days ago, it displays the ERR message, and the shotter shots ones and then twice with out taking any pictures or saving them on the mem card, do you have any further information... Thanks

I had the same problem with my D70.
Ended up having the shutter repaired at the tune of $135.
Works fine now.

Sounds like the shutter is sticking. This could be due to damage or just need cleaning. This probably means that you need to get the camera professionally serviced/fixed as shutters are extremely delicate.
The D70 has a reset button at the bottom of the camera. Firts of all, I think you have checked you have the correct lens inserted (at least D mount) and well done, checked your memory card is correctly inserted, and if you have another, change it.Checked the battery. Looked the AF modes on the body. If everything is OK, then press the reset button. If you have no answer, then take the camera to the T. Service.
