Question about Computers & Internet

User profile problem

Hi,

Thanks for your help on my problem. But I'm a little confused about something. I posted this in the thread, but here's my question:

I'm confused about step 4. First you say to take the one that currently has ".bak" and rename it ".bk" Then you say to take the one that DOES NOT have ".bak" and rename it so it doesn't have .bak. But it already doesn't have a .bak. Should I rename it something else?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

User manual

This site is very confusing, so I'm not sure if this will get to you, but when you put the bobbin on to wind it with thread, you have to push the little post it sits on over to the right to wind it. When it's full, it stops turning and you have to push it back to the left to get your bobbin off. Hope this helps! Do you have a manual? I'm looking for help with making a button hole desperately!! :(

When i try to log-on i put my pasword into the box and says "the user Profile Service service failed the log-on.User profile cannot be loaded. what do i do

To resolve this problem open yourself, follow these steps:

Right click Computer > Properties > Advanced system settings > Advanced tab > Under User Profiles, click Settings > In the User Profiles dialog box, select the profile that you want to delete > click Delete > Apply/OK.

Next open regedit and navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

Right-click the SID that you want to remove, and then click Delete.

Log on to the computer and create a new profile.

Alternatively, you can simply download and use this Fix It 50446 from Microsoft given on KB947215.

You may also want to check out ReProfiler. It is a freeware tool for manipulating user profiles on Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000, Server 2003 & Server 2008.

User account problem

If you enter the administrative account and right click on start and choose explore, can you see the newly created user account in the list of accounts under documents & settings?
If not, then your new account has not been set up properly, and you will have to set it up again.
If you do see that account listed, but cannot access it from the log on screen, the simplest way to fix it is probably to delete that user account from the user accounts in control panel, and try setting up a new one.

I log on my password but my password connot open my laptop. saying the user profile service failed the logon user profile cannot be loaded.

You are not the only one!
Please have a look at this posting (click here) and then work carefully through the tutorial. (available here) Read it through first to familiarize yourself with the steps required, gather your disks and so forth, and then step by step work through it. You should be able to work it out. Be advised, that if you follow method two to delete your old user profile you will lose the contents of that folder, including my documents. Therefore, try first to do a system restore or apply method 1 to repair the profile.
Best of luck!

How to change rating in chat

Hey ID

Not sure, if they go into the my profile page then scroll down to the chatsessions, there is a write review button on eatch one, useing that button they might be able to change it but it also might be grayed out since they have already given a review.

By the way, I saw you post this into a premium
  • "FixYa!" - The solution provides great advice on how to solve the problem.
  • "Helpful" - The solution provides useful leads that helps solve the problem.
  • "Thanks for Trying" - The solution does not solve the problem but the effort is appreciated.
  • "Inappropriate" - The solution has absolutely nothing to do with the problem.

  • Good but

Thats only for free solutions, the premiums have difrent buttons. So that can confuse the user, just a thought. (accept, ask and something else if I remember right, accept = fixya rateing)

Still about the rateing they should be able to contact premium.support@fixya.com (Check the address that might be wrong) and ask to have the chat rerated. or unrated so they can rate it again.
