Question about Dell Inspiron E1505 Notebook
I've got a Dell Inspiron 1526 running Vista OS. I went to the local branch of the big chain bookstore cafe yesterday and tried to log on to the store's free wifi. Everyone around me was doing fine. When I tried to log on, it logged on with a good signal but no web pages would display and I got the usual "can't display" window response. This particular web site requires an initial acknowledgement of rules and responsibilities before allowing you to surf the web. It's worked fine before but I spent an hour running diagnostics and checking security settings and just could not get it to work.
A patron at the cafe suggested trying to piggy back off a nearby restaurant's free wifi which did not require a prompt through the entryway and it worked just fine. It worked fine when I went home and checked on the home wireless network.
Thanks! : )
It could be a reason the the router at the cafe is not configured for VISTA
and there are some router settings which needs to be done
or it could be an issue regarding profile(related to router) or could be a channel issue
provide me your system's service tag located at the bottom pannel of your system, turn it upside down you will find a bar coded sticker which has a 7 digit alphanumeric number
