Am setting up printer DCP J125 with Windows 7 and instructions say, 'get approval' . Amready to install software.

You need to pres Menu-Mono Start-Up Arrow 4 times in less than 2 Seconds !!! and you will be in Maintenance mode. LEDs will be flashing. Press the Up Arrow and numbers will change and press OK after the one you want to select. The number sequence is the following. 8-0 2-8-6-4 4-4-6-0 7-7 9-9

Hi there you'll need to reset the printer.
Try this solution:
1.) Unplug your printer.
2.) Plug your printer press the MENU + MONO + ARROW UP. (Press it rapidly one press at a time)
3.) select 8 by using the arrow buttons ,push OK and select 0 and push OK
4.) then numbers appear looks like this ###:### ###:###.
5.) now push the MONO button until the purge:#### appears on the LCD
6.) Select 2, push ok, select 7,push ok,select 8,push ok, select 3,push ok

7.) - switch off the printer ,switch it on
- ready to print

Hi, To get software of your brother DCP series click the following link http://www.brother-usa.com/downloads/default.aspx?PGID=5 than select your brother model > operating system to Download software driver. if finish downloading double click software driver wait for installation instruction before you connect data cable of your Brother DCP.

User Account Control can be found in Windows 7 by clicking the Windows icon located in the taskbar. (For most users this is in the bottom left hand corner)
In the search bar type in UAC
You will be presented with an option to choose Change User Account Control settings.
From there you will be able to adjust the settings.
