Hi it some virus..you can format it now.
First you go to "Start" - "My Computer" - Now look for something called "Removable Disk" - That is your MP3 Player - Now right-click on it then click "Format" - Now allow format to complete and this should have fixed the problem.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful in someway.

Try upgrading the firmware on this device. You should be able to do this from the manufacturer's website or give the number given with the manual a call and they should be able to email you it to download onto the device. I will take a look and see if I can find it though

you will need to call Customer Care at 1-800-736-7679
so that they can email you the right firmware for your 2gb since all I found was firmware for the smaller versions.

Let me know how this goes and whether you need anything else

    good luck

You probably need to reload the firmware for the player. In order to flash your player’s firmware, please follow these steps:

Please connect the player to a rear USB port on the computer. The display should show “USB Connected”. (If not, please press the power button.)
Please make sure that all unused programs and applications are closed. You can close the applications by closing as many of the icons in the lower right hand corner (by the clock) as possible.
Download the correct Firmware (depending on your model)

Click here to download the Siren 512 Firmware:
-
Click here to download the ILO 116 Firmware
-
Click Open to initiate the download
Double click on the ILO or Siren folder icon. There will be 14 icons.
There will be a Setup icon that looks like a box with a blue line on it; please double click on this.
Then click Run - this will open the Install Wizard.
The Install Wizard has the instructions on the screen as you go through it.
Once the firmware has installed, please click the Start menu, then Programs.
Look for the icon that says ILO or Siren, and then double click the Firmware Update to install to the player. Depending on how severe the corruption to the firmware on the player is, you might have to do this step 2 or 3 times in order for it to completely repair the firmware.

Additional Tip: The player itself requires a lot of power while flashing the firmware. I suggest disconnecting all USB devices from the computer except the MP3 player and mouse; you can reconnect your keyboard once the firmware has been flashed.

Also you can try putting in a new battery or if it has a lock switch check it.

Here is a different solution that I found:
    1) Disconnect from computer, turn it off, hold in volume + button and
reconnect it to your computer - continue holding volume + until the
    Found Hardware Wizard comes up.

    2)

REFORMAT FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER - Erases Everything: Connect your iLo
player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync
tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving
your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black
arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "ILO 2GB" (wording may vary
slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything,
and give you a fresh start.

If all fails, you can contact the manufacturer at 254-224-0222, Monday – Friday, from 8:00AM to 8:00PM CST.

Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please post them here.
If you are satisfied with my solution or have no further queries, please take a moment to "Accept" this solution.

    Thank you for using Fixya!

    Cheers!

Try deleting all files from memory (do format), as it seem to be a problem with access to files.

MyMusix PD-6110 MP3 Player wont play any songs

Unfortunately, your files must have gotten corrupt. This issue is most prevalent if you disconnect the mp3 before it has completed the transfer of songs.

To fix it, format the mp3 by plugging it into the USB port, right clicking the drive that is displayed and choosing "Format". This will remove all songs from the mp3 player. Afterward, you can re-add any songs that were lost. But make sure when disconnecting, you see no loading animation on the screen. Then right click the "Remove Hardware" icon on the bottom right of you screen, choose "Stop". Check again for a loading animation on the screen (if there is one, wait until it stops), and you can remove the mp3 from your USB port.

Maybe you have the player set to random mode so its playing random songs in random orders. If so, press the round mode button in the middle until "RAN" in the top right corner of the screen is no longer displayed.

it sounds like you need to get a new battery. Your current battery might be strong enough to light the screen but not strong enough to launch the song. Thats only thing i can think of. Hope this helps! :-) please tell me if it does!

It should read the songs automatically. Once you have inserted the card with MP3 Format or WMA formatted songs it should read it.

Playing songs

I've had the same problem, an it started when I formatted the player's flash memory to NTFS, an then realised it needed to be back in FAT(Win95) format for the mp3 player to play the songs. But after doing that, sometimes it'll mess up an the song number changes to 826, an the player completely freezes. I have to then take the battery out to restart it.
If anyone has schematics, or knows where I can track them down, I would be appreciative, for the RCA lyra M200
