Yeah, basically go to a Best Buy, Circuit City, or any Office Supplies Store and tell them you want a HP Inkjet Printer with all of those features and then you can choose between them. I don't know what you price range may be, but they are all basically the same. If you want better print quality or anything, let the salesperson know and they should be able to direct you to what you want but I think you are just looking for the basic printer.

Look for an HP OfficeJet All-In-One Inkjet Printer is basically what I am saying. Any of them should do for you. We own a 4300 series which has never had any problems. good luck and let me know if you need anything else

I just bought a new computer. Someone assisted me in connecting the computer and my HP Officejet 4215v all-in-one. We were unable to install using the cd so we went online. My problem is that the scan...

For scanning you may have to go to, find your model and they have a manual that you can go to to get the information. It will tell you what to do. I had to same problem, printer on the front was telling me that I did not have that feature. HP has good technical help and support, so you can to that section in HP. If you have another program on your computer, such as Microsoft Publisher, or any other program that you can use for scanning, use that and don't worry about the HP.

On the fax, do you have a telephone attached. If not, you would have to attach your phone to it; the only problem is when you are using the fax, no one can reach you on your phone, unless to get a separate phone to handle it. I use to have a separate phone, using a student line with the telephone company, but that was extra money. If I need to fax, I just go to an outside fax place.

We keep receiving a T.30 Protocol Trace Report with the "Type: Receive" and "Result: Communication Error (17)". How do we figure out what this means? Thnaks.

If this is printing out and consuming a lot of paper it can get annoying. This report is intended for a technician to trace problems with your machine. The report basically tells you that your fax attempt failed and gives all the technical settings. To the average user this is meaningless. The print feature for this is normally turned off, but I have seen a few cases where the default was set to print. Under the diagnostics menu, find the T-30 error setting and set it to never. Check the firware on your printer to make sure it is current. Print the configuration page and check the firmware version on the front page. The current version is 48.181.8. There are many modem fixes included with the firmware.

The full-featured HP OfficeJet 7130 all-in-one offers photo printing, double-sided printing, an automatic document feeder (ADF), a fax, a scanner, a copier, and inputs for all of the current breeds of photo memory cards on the market today. At first blush, the machine's large footprint may seem overbearing--until you take into account just how much space you're saving by putting all of your technological eggs into one basket. Unfortunately, the 7130 isn'

My HP6110xi All-In-One doesn't want to scan

First, scans and copies don't really use the computer. Can you print a document from your printer. If not, then your problem is within the computer.

If it does print then....

Try using the scan feature within the HP solution center. It works on mine but the scan button on the printer does. Also some art programs have and "ACQUIRE" feature under file to scan with. (Sometimes called TWAIN.)

Hope this helps, so you can start scanning.

good luck

Hi red,

You may need to set the fax as the default answerer of incoming calls. Here's a little tip, most local phone companies offer a distintive ring feature that only the fax will answer. If you get the option your users manual will tell you how to set up this feature and whats neat about is you get a seperate
number for that feature, your own dedicated fax line without add any extra outside lines.
