hello, my CDJ800 did the same thing & it needed a new laser which cost me about £90 fitted. go to you'll local electrical or Dj store & they should be able to give you a number for a repair place.

you need to clean compartment of the CDJ, there must be dirt which dont let the cd play, also let me know it you get any error code.

SOURCE: my cdj 800 is not reading cds.
You may also chech if the player is the CDJ 800 mk1 and not the mk2 version. If you burn MP3 cd's and put them in a mk1 player, it will not read those cd's.
The CDJ 800mk2 is the version that can read MP3's
