I have nokia N 73..I am recieving messages but unable to open as it says memory full delete some data..whereas my memory is not at full.I hardly have any data.I am unable to open my sms's .please help

Please go into inbox and delete all previous text messages. Then sent items and delete all text messages. Also in outbox, drafts. Your settings for your text messages may only be set to recieve a certain amount of texts.

You can change this by going into messages then message settings

and then other. increase the number of saved messages to 999.

If your phone is only set to save 100, you will get memory full messages once that amount has been reached.

Hope this helps and please rate

Nokia 5230- (1) When i try to send a text/reply "Not enough memory to perform operation. Delete some data first."(2) When I try to make a call, "Memory full. Delete or move some data from C:...

hi, yes and no is the quick answer, basically its telling you either your message out box is full or you have used a lot of hte memory on the phone, try going into messages via the menu then go into sent or ot box then choose delete and if you then highlight the message you want to delete then press settings and choose mark if you then do this to all the ones you want to delete then when you have finished you can choose delete and it will then delete all the ones you have marked.

now for your second question, im afraid their is no way of changing the settings to allow you to change the amount of time the messages are kept, you can change the settings so it dont save any sent messages at all but this can be a problems as you will never know what you have sent, the best thing to do would be to go through your messages say every other day and delete the ones you dont need.

now if you free up some memory on the phone by deleting things like inbox, outbox, sent messages also delete any pictures you dont need and even delete any ringtones you dont need doing this will free up memory and it will then store more messages on the phone than it is storing now

let me know how you get on or if you need furher assistance ok

please can you rate this solution, many thanks

While sending text message it says memory full delete some data?

hi..

This is because when you send the message it stores up in outbox and then only it wil be sent,As your phone memory is full no space is there for storing in the outbox. So please delete the inbox and draft and savedmessages so that you will not get this message again.

Thanx

Masseages

Cannot expand capacity, but you must delete your SENT messages. They are taking up the room and leaving you with only a small amount of space for your inbox. Check your outbox and sent msgs and delete them.

Message memory full

hi what the phone is saying is its capable of holding 500 message but in reality this means if you have enough free memory your phone can store 500 messages so what you need to do is delete all the sent/outbox/inbox/drafts message delete all the ones you dont need.
Also delete any pictures you dont need as these take up loads of mem also delete any ringtones that your never going to use as alot of the messages you got free with the phone you never use so make sure you delete any of these that your sure you dont want as these also take up loads of memory once you have done this you should find your phone will work just fine

Have a check on how many text messages *sent and recieved*, photo's and music files you have.. If you have lots of any of those things try deleting a few to see if it makes any difference..

Can't open inbox/outbox/drafts Razr v3x

Two possible problems here, the new messages could be server messages, your inbox is completely full and there (unfortunately) really is no choice to but to delete either a large number of the messages in your inbox or delete all. If that doesn't work it needs to be taken into a retailer to be either repaired or trashed. Had a similar problem with the same phone and i had to delete all my inbox messages and it still showed that i had messages and they were server messages.
